Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile! My name is Sian and I am 24 years old. I currently work in a specialist learning disability care home in Baldock. Prior to this I spent 6 years working in nursery settings as a key-carer. I am keen to return to childcare working as a full-time Nanny. I feel passionate about caring for children and helping them to grow, thrive and develop. I am a kind hearted and gentle individual, who loves to embrace her inner child & fun side. In my free time I enjoy reading, writing, arts and crafts, nature walks, spending time with my partner and my very big family. I have been safeguarding trained, EYFS trained and I am also first-aid trained. I have also received certificates for a variety of other courses which I have completed in my spare time, these include autism awareness, mental well-being in children, managing challenging behaviour and EYFS refresher.
My Experience
I started off doing babysitting at the weekends when I was younger which made me discover my love for looking after children. I have previously worked at Wonderland Day Nursery and learnt a lot from my time there. Working as support staff I was able to learn the ropes very quickly and work with all ages ranging from the baby room to the 3-5 age group! After working at Wonderland I moved to Enchanted where I became a key worker. I was based in the 2-3 age group and was responsible for 3-4 children each day. I had many key responsibilities which included carrying out observations and activities with my children to monitor their develop, ensure they were hitting their EYFS milestones and extend their learning. I was responsible for their individual routines and ensuring their personal hygiene is kept on top of. For example, nappies & toilet training. I spent lots of time with them and learnt to love and care about them like they are my own and hopefully, using the knowledge and skills I have gained, I will be able to do the same for you and your children aswell!
My Qualifications
Awarded double distinction* NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care (Equivalent of 2 A Levels)
8 A*-C GCSE grades
My Availability
I am looking for a full-time position.
Monday - Friday would be ideal.
Happy to help out at weekends if the opportunity arises and I am available.
Can be on ‘stand-by’ in case of emergencies.
