My Experience

• Providing care during the day, after school, on the weekends, during the school holidays and overnight to suit the needs of the family.

• Keeping children safe and making sure their needs are being met.

• Travel nanny, travelling with the family on holidays and trips away when required.

• Preparing after school snacks, tiding up, playing games, preparing dinner and getting them ready for bed.

• Taking children out for activities, arranged by myself or the parents and returning them home safely.

• Getting children ready for the day, including bathing, dressing and making breakfast, lunch and dinner.

• Light house keeping, such as laundry, washing dishes, hoovering and cleaning toys etc.

• Creating a safe environment at all times, keeping children safe indoors and outdoors and ensuring their areas at home are kept clean and tidy.

• Helping children learn through play, assisting with homework and engaging in age/appropriate activities.

• Communicating with parents by providing regular updates on their children’s progress and behaviour.

• Providing comfort, guidance and support to help children develop social skill, self-esteem and emotional resilience.

• Establishing and maintaining a routine for meals, sleep and activities and implementing disciplinary guidelines.

• Maintained records of children’s daily activities, behaviour, meals and any medication administered.

• Experienced with children with special needs and challenging behaviours, helping them regulate their emotions appropriately by using
different methods/strategies, tailored to suit the individual child.

• Applying positive reinforcement and disciplinary techniques to help improve behaviour and guide social development.

• Continuous teaching of safe behaviour while crossing streets, using climbing frames etc.

• Advising parents on how to manage disruptive or unsociable behaviours at home.

I have experience with caring for children of different ages, genders, abilities/disabilities.
