About Me

Hi, I'm Tori, a 28-year-old based in Crewkerne looking for part-time nanny work.

I have extensive experience caring for children of various ages, including babies and twins. My approach is warm, creative, and adaptable—I believe in following the parents' preferred parenting style to provide consistency and a nurturing environment.

I originally got my dog, Nala, while nannying for twin two-year-olds, so she grew up alongside them on their family farm. She is incredibly well-behaved and fantastic with children. Ideally, she would be with me during the day, but I have some flexibility as my partner can work from home a couple of days a week.

I’m a naturally positive and bubbly person but can be firm when needed. I have a strong interest in psychology and child development, which informs my approach to caregiving. I love engaging children in creative activities, from arts and crafts to photography. With a BSc in Conservation Biology and Ecology, I’m passionate about outdoor learning and nature-based play. I encourage children to explore the outdoors, and I’m happy to incorporate forest school-style activities into their routine.

Other activities I enjoy sharing with children include cooking, swimming, general outdoor adventures and mindfulness. If you're looking for a nanny who will keep your children engaged, active, and learning in a fun and supportive environment, I'd love to chat!

My Experience

Over the past 10 years, I have gained extensive experience caring for children of all ages, from newborns to teenagers.

Private Nanny – North Devon (2020)
I was a full-time nanny for twin 2-year-old boys, living on-site in a cottage on weekends. We spent most of our time outdoors on the family farm, where they developed a love for construction, machinery, and animals. I encouraged hands-on learning, from feeding the animals to exploring nature. My dog, Nala, grew up alongside them.

Au Pair – Canada (2016 & 2018)
I worked twice for the same family in Canada, first in 2016, caring for three boys (newborn, 2, and 4 years old), and again in summer 2018, when they were 2, 4, and 6. This role involved full-time care, school drop-offs, meal preparation, and creating engaging play-based learning activities.

Au Pair – Australia (2015)
I spent nine months as a Travel Au Pair for twin 3-year-old boys escorting them around Australia and Europe. My role involved daily childcare, organising creative and outdoor activities, and supporting their early development.

Babysitting & Family Care
Before my Au Pair roles, I regularly babysat for family friends and have firsthand experience helping to raise my younger sister, who is 10 years younger than me.

I am confident in caring for multiple children at once, including infants, and have experience with varied age ranges. I am a competent cook, happy to assist with school runs and hold a full, clean UK driving licence with a safe driving record.

GCSEs A*-C (inc; English BB, Maths C, Science BC)

My Availability

I am looking for a live-out nanny position local to Crewkerne but am also available for overnight duties and occasional live-in work if needed (e.g., during holidays or business trips).

I have my own car and am happy to travel for school runs or activities. I love animals, especially dogs, and would be more than happy to help with pet care, including additional dog walking if needed.

Alongside nannying, I am self-employed as a marketing consultant, which gives me flexibility. I typically need to dedicate about an hour a day to my work but can easily fit this around childcare responsibilities.
