About Me
I am a Qualified Ofsted registered childminder based in Acklam. I am registered to offer government funding for 2, 3 & 4yr olds & also the Tax Free Childcare Scheme. I offer both term time only & all year round care, whichever suits each individual family. I provide school drop off/collections to Acklam Whin. I am a fun, outgoing and energetic person. I believe in making learning fun. I enjoy seeing children enjoying themselves and giving new adventures a try. I am also a qualified Forest Childcare Provider and i believe that spending time outdoors is very important. The children go outdoors here everyday, at least once a day, no matter what the weather because i believe fresh air and wide open spaces are good for them! We have a fully enclosed back garden that children access whenever they want. We also live near to lovely parks, woodland areas & nature reserves and we aim to visit these places once a week. When possible we also attend different activities & groups including Moo Music, Mini Gymnastics, Cheeky Charlies soft play and local playgroups.
My Experience
I have previously worked as a volunteer in nurseries & also a local academy's reception class. I worked alongside Rebecca Tinney (who has over 18years experience in childcare) for 12 months as a childminders assistant in order to understand the roles & responsibilities
of a home based child carer. I enjoyed the experience of the childminding community that much that i have been set up in my own home as a qualified registered childminder since October 2017. I am also in the middle of The Hygge in the Early years Accreditation.

My son has been going to Carol's setting nearly 4 years now and he has thrived. He loves going to Carol's and his friends there. When I leave him, I know he will be having fun and learning from all the activities Carol plans. The children have their own playroom and spaces. She has also been great throughout the pandemic. When childminders were allowed to open, Carol took all the steps to make her setting safe. It was crucial for my son to socialize with other children while schools closed. She always goes the extra mile for the children.

Carol is amazing with the children and I have seen Ryan progress massively with Carol. There are always activities or outings for the children. It is an ideal home from home setting and carol treats all the children as if they were her own.. even giving updates throughout the day of what they are doing.
