About Me
Hey! My name is Amy, I am 30. I work as a Registered Nurse in an emergency department so have lots of emergency and first aid experience. I have done my ILS & Paediatric ILS. I have always had an interest in childcare and babies and have worked a lot in paediatrics in the hospital environment. I am paediatric cpr trained including both infants/babies & children. I am CRB checked. I also hold a Full Clean UK drivers licence.
My Experience
As having younger siblings I have always helped and looked after them from an early age. I started babysitting for other family/ friends/ neighbours in my early teens and since then have babysat for more people. Just by word of mouth!
I have looked after children as young as 1-2 months old before. I also have experience of looking after children with special needs.
I have done work experience in a primary school and a Montessori nursery. Also my experience in paediatric nursing as previously mentioned.
I also have my own little boy who was born at the end of 2023!
My Qualifications
I hold GCSEs grades A-C in English Maths Science and other subjects which I did at high school.
I also hold a Level 3 diploma in health and social care. Included in this course is working with children, health and safety and first aid just to name a few subjects that this covers. I have also done training as part of my job as mentioned above. I have done the following
- safeguarding children
- CPR Paediatric & Adult
- diabetes awareness
- wound care
I also hold a degree in adult nursing which enabled me to registered as a Nurse.
My Availability
In my nurse job, I work a rota including different shifts. So my availability is different all the time and varies week to week. I have my availability schedule several weeks in advance and in special circumstances I would be able to request time off if needed if enough advanced notice was given.
I work 2-3 long days a week, however these days are different each week, meaning I have 4-5 days off a week which would be my available days.
I am unavailable any time on a Tuesday or Monday overnight.
There would be occasions where I would also have my little boy with me, but happy to discuss this with parents/carers.

My Fees
- Nannying from £14.00 per hour (gross)
- Babysitting from £14.00 per hour
I currently charge £14 an hour within in a 10 mile radius of my home. Outside of this I charge extra to cover fuel & travel costs.
I also charge 50p per mile for any miles I do whilst the child/children are in my care. I would also need you to provide your own car seats/buggy.
