About Me
I am an OFSTED registered child minder and have all the relevant training and first aid certificates and continue my training to strive to offer the best possible service.
I take my role seriously as the guardian for your child while he/she is in my care. I believe there is no better start in life than one that is surrounded by security, love, play and encouragement.
We are very lucky to be located a short walk from Ampthill Great Park and the beautiful countryside it offers, I am keen to show our children the wonders of nature both at my setting and outside on visits to the park.
My setting is perfect for keeping little one’s inquisitive minds busy with a fantastic fully equipped playroom full of enticing toys to excite even the most selective children.
A lovely big kitchen where I get the children involved in cooking and baking followed by eating what has been made.
Upstairs is a lovely nap room ready for babies through to pre-schoolers alike.
We are fortunate enough to have a huge garden where we have lots of garden toys and are learning about nature and grow our own food and flowers.
We have art and messy play times throughout the week and above all focus on learning through fun.
'Happy Hearts Ampthill' was borne out of my love for children and I offer a ‘Home from Home’ that is bursting with all the encouragement, love and safety a child needs to thrive. I aim to give you the complete confidence you need to leave your child with anybody other than family whilst welcoming them into my own.

Lucy is fantastic childminder!
Lucy has been looking after our 7 year old son for the last year and he adores her! They get on really well. She's a really fun and kind person to be around.
She's well organised and flexible, which I really appreciate. I work abroad a few days a month, and when I need to leave early in the morning, she is able to accommodate our son into "Breakfast Club", and then take him to school afterwards, sometimes at relatively short notice. This is as well as the usual school pickups in the afternoons.
There is always plenty of delicious home made food after school and my son never comes homes hungry! They also have a regular pizza club, which is just one of the opportunities for the children to get involved in the cooking!
Lucy gets out-and-about with the younger children a lot (Pick Your Own Farms, Woburn Safari, Parks etc). When my son joins them during the holidays, she WhatsApps me photos so I can what he's been getting up to, where he's been, which is great!
As well as being a happy and fun environment, there is always time for homework and Lucy sits with our son to do reading / writing and keeps me updated on his progress.
Lucy's family home is well equipped with a clean, stylish, comfortable and welcoming feel.
They have a big garden which is laid out into different sections. In the summer, the children run around and have fun with water sprinklers and garden toys.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Lucy as your childminder. From the moment you meet her, you'll be put at ease straight way!
