About Me
My name is Beth, and I'm an Ofsted registered childminder. My last ofsted inspection was July 2019, and I was rated Good in all areas.
I live in the centre of Blackrod with my partner, who also holds a DBS certificate and with our two sons and daughter.
We live on a very quiet street, near Blackrod primary school, in a house perfect for your little ones. Our Home is warm, friendly and safe with an enclosed garden and plenty of room for your little ones to learn and play.
I have plenty of toys, crafts and learning resources, and a garden play area which includes a mud kitchen, music wall, den, water wall and sand pit for messy play. We also love spending lots of time outdoors doing activities, learning in the environment whilst we play and going on lots of adventures.
I understand what an emotional roller-coaster it can be finding the right person to look after your little ones, as I also had to find childcare for my own son. With my experiences, I have a great understanding that all children are unique and have their own personal ways of learning. I will focus on each individual child and help them to develop and grow to be happy and confident, in a safe and caring environment.
My aim will be to promote your child's development using a structured EYFS (early years foundation stage) framework, whilst making it a fun and happy learning environment to help your children develop and grow.
My Experience
I attended Runshaw College where I completed a BTEC National diploma in care. During this time I gathered a lot of experience in a number of Primary schools and Nursery’s. I learnt a lot during this time and the experience was invaluable as It was then that I realised I had a passion for working with children.
After College I attended Manchester Metropolitan University where I completed a degree in Biology. Whilst I was studying at university I was also raising my son, who has added to my experience of caring for and looking after children.
As a childcare provider I am a great believer in continuous professional development, and attend further learning and development courses.

Safeguarding Level 1, 2 and 3.
My Availability
Monday to Thursday 7:30am - 5:00pm
15 hours and 30 hours funded childcare available.

Beth has been so incredibly attentive and lovely with our little girl. Her warm and sunny personality put our daughter at ease straight away. Beth is a very knowledgeable and professional child minder, all her sessions show attention to detail and creativity, and encourages the children to enjoy the outdoors with trips to natural surroundings. We feel like our daughter has had a wonderful time and learnt to foster relationships with other children at play groups and with the other children under Beths care. She’s a wonderful childminder and we were so lucky to find her when we were looking. Thank you Beth!

My daughter is currently with Beth full time and absolutely loves her time there. She has been there for over a year and has learnt so much. Beth makes sure she takes part in varied activities such as arts and crafts, sensory play, reading, yoga, walking and many more that tend to follow a theme. We get updates throughout the day so we know she is happy and can see what she is getting up to and then a full record of the activities, meals, naps etc at the end of each day which I love reading. Sienna always eats all her food! We are more than happy with the service and love to see her grow as a result of the care she receives.

My daughter currently attends and has been attending since the start of September 2017. She loves the setting and I couldn't recommend Beth enough. I feel confident and comfortable leaving her in Beth's care. Every day the children do something different whether it be inside or outdoors. There is a wide variety of activities the children do ranging from attending a local childminding group and library to doing many different arts and crafts. My little girl has grown in confidence since attending and her development has come on in leaps and bounds. Would definitely recommend.

We started our 2 year old daughter at a local Nursery at the beginning of this year after a change in our family circumstances. We soon decided the Nursery wasn't right for our L.O. and we started looking for a Childminder in the hope of a more personal, home from home approach. After meeting with a number of Childminders I began to feel disheartened until I met with Beth. Following our first meeting I felt positive for the first time at the thought of leaving my daughter in the care of someone else. We arranged a visit for my L.O. to meet with Beth which went extremely well. My daughter seemed comfortable with her from the outset and she was excited about all the setting had to offer.
Beth has a vast selection of toys and resources in her playroom and she utilises her outdoor area at every opportunity; which has a mud kitchen, music wall, water wall, sand tray, sea-saw, slide and play house. Beth takes the children on regular outings to playgrounds, groups, nature walks, museums and to the local library. She also promotes learning through crafts, baking and sharing books.
My L.O. has been so settled at Little Butterflies; eager to go every morning and never wanting to leave at the end of each day. She has a great relationship with Beth and talks about her and her family all the time. The level of care our daughter receives is truely excellent. My partner and I are so happy we found Little Butterflies and fully recommend Beth as a brilliant childcare provider.
