About Me
Hi my name is Heidi, I am a registered childminder with the CSSIW living in the heath area in walking distance to the uhw hospital.
I provide a home from home experience where the children feel part of the family.
I aim to provide excellent care and service for you and your child, As a mother i understand the importance of great quality childcare to ensure your child is happy, contented and thrive's in a safe stimulating environment, We live in a spacious home with a playroom leading to a lovely weather enclosed garden for the children to enjoy including playhouse,swings, slide, I also have a quiet room available for sleeping on the ground floor.
I have a wide variety of toys for all different ages we enjoy lots of activities including arts and crafts, cooking, dance and music etc.
We have regular outings in the community, I am in walking distance to local parks, playgroups, shops, libraries and schools.
I follow the foundation phase the seven area of learning to build a great foundation for school life.
I provide breakfast, lunch and dinner for the children in my care during these times, I provide healthy snacks throughout the day, drinks are available at all times.
Meals, snacks, drinks and outings are included in the fees.
I am available to drop off and pick up from birchgrove primary school.
My setting is child friendly, it has been inspected by the CSSIW, I regularly carry out risk assessments and fire safety checks

My children absolutely love going to Heidi's. They literally cheer when I tell them it's a Heidi day. We use her for after school care for a 6 year old and wraparound care, from a school nursery, for my 4 year old. She is absolutely kind and caring with them and extremely thoughtful. She is professional but caring and flexible at the same time. She is able to provide suitable stimulation and entertainment for my eldest and both fun and relaxation for my younger child. I feel reassured that my children are with someone who can be trusted to look after their best interests and they feel like they're playing at a family friend's house every week. Heidi really does provide a gentle, homely childcare setting for my kids. In fact, as of September she'll be caring for my youngest too.
It is also worth noting that my 4 year old has a food allergy and my baby does too. She has followed our instructions with my 4 year old well and I am sure she will handle the even greater restrictions of my baby's allergies just fine as well.

We decided to look for a childminder after our son was ill for 9 weeks after picking up a number of different bugs at nursery and were lucky enough to have been introduced to Heidi. After the initial settling in session I could see how lovely, kind and professional Heidi was and what a clean, child friendly and homely setting Heidi and her family provide. 4 months on and we couldn't have been happier that Heidi is our sons childminder. He absolutely LOVES Heidi and her family and can tell he has had a great day when we pick him up!
The care, attention and effort Heidi puts into caring for our son, communicating with us and keeping us informed is excellent. I never have to worry knowing that our son is with Heidi and couldn't rate her highly enough.

My baby started with Heidi when he was only 12 weeks old and I was really anxious about leaving him. I visited a few Childminder's in the area but no one picked him up and cuddled him quite like Heidi did! She understands how neurotic I am and she sends me lots of pictures so that I can keep updated with how he's doing. He's always smiling, or flat out asleep when I pick him up which makes me feel a lot better about having to leave him. She always has lots of toys around and takes him out for a walk most days.
My older son now goes there too during school holidays, and he really enjoys it as well. There's always plenty of games to play and things to do. He can't wait for the next school holiday so that he can go again.

We absolutely love coming to Heidi's house. Our 2 year old daughter cries when we have to leave- which speaks for itself! I feel confident and comfortable leaving our LO everyday with Heidi knowing she is safe, super happy and that she genuinely loves being in a home from home environment. Each day is filled with a day out, playgroup, soft play or activities at home. Heidi provides a lovely gentle parenting approach with such care with lots of healthy snacks and meals provided!
We would highly recommend Heidi and we are so pleased that we found her! Thank you so much for making this transition easier for us!! Xx
