About Me
My name is Alana, thank you for looking at my profile.
I started my childcare career in 2003 when my then 3 year old son (Jaydan) started Pre-school. I never left!! I completed my Level 3 in Playgroup practice, I then completed my CCLD Level 5 advanced practice. And for the next 6 years I was a practitioner then assistant supervisor there. 5 years later I had my daughter (Cordi) and returned back to work 2 months later.
I eventually took over as Supervisor, taking the pre-school out of special measures and in to a glowing Estyn report. I had found my passion, caring for children!
I decided to venture out into setting up my own childminding business as my roll had taken me away from what I love, looking after and enhancing childrens learning. As the paper work increased I spent less and less time with the children themselves.
I want to be able to enhance your little ones experiences on a daily basis. I enjoy caring for children, and developing children's skills to help them grow to be kind and confident children.
My Experience
I have worked in the childcare sector for 17 years, in this time I have worked with an array of children with varied abilities. I have completed my Makaton Level 1 and 2 though this is always a work in progress. I also completed my Elklan speech and language.
I regular attend training courses and keep up to date with best current practice.

This lady is so amazing, shes really good with helping the children develop properly.
Her children are very good with them and she has an amazing dog who helped my son get over his fear of dogs.
She does a job with passion and you can tell by the outcome of your children and how happy they’re when they come home.
They do daily fun and games and things to send home such as plants drawings.
They make best friends. So sad to have to leave. 100% be sending him again

Alana looks after both of my children and goes above and beyond for them. I have a child with additional needs and she understands him and cares for him with so much compassion and love. I would always recommend her to all my friends and family. She is worth her weight in gold and wouldn't imagine my childcare routine without her! Thank you Alana! x
