About Me
My name's Kate Fountain, I'm 37 and I'm married to my husband John. We have 2 beautiful children together. Jacob who's 9 and Georgia who's 5. I decided to go into childminding so I can spend more quality time with my own children as well as continuing doing the job I love, looking after and education children. I have joined a childminding agency called @ home childcare, they registered me and put me through all the relevant training to become a childminder. I also get the added bonus of being assigned a mentor from the agency who I can contact for any guidance and support regarding my business. I get tonnes of training opportunities within my membership and inspections are annually to ensure my service remains to a high standard. I'm a fond believer in learning through play, indoors and outdoors and being as active as possible. My own children learn so much more this way and loves the outdoors.
My Experience
I have 19 years experience of working with children in nurseries and other settings. I have a level 3 childcare qualification which I obtained a chesterfield college in 2003. I have all the relevant training to be a childminder including paediatric first aid and safeguarding children.
My Qualifications
BTEC National Diploma in Early Years level 3
GCSE’s all main subjects Grade C and above
My Availability
My hours are 8am-5pm Monday - Friday with an early start available from 7.30am for an extra cost. I offer school runs to local schools too.
