About Me
I am 26 years old and a qualified Primary School teacher, having completed my degree at Sheffield Hallam University, studying Early Years and Primary Education and gaining qualified teacher status. I currently work out of the classroom for a global education non-profit but have previously taught as an Early Years Specialist teacher in an SEMH special school and as a Year 1 in a local primary school. Prior to starting university, I worked full time in a school as a Teaching Assistant, completing a Level 2 qualification as part of this. I also worked as a tutor of children ages 4-16 for three years whilst at university.
I'm a dedicated, reliable, friendly babysitter with a passion for childcare and in particular education. I have extensive recent babysitting experience of children of all ages. I have first aid and safeguarding training, plus extensive SEN experience. I have a passion for reading, creative play and taking learning outdoors! I am also DBS checked and happy to provide evidence of this.
My Experience
As a babysitter, I have experience working with children of all ages from babies to teenagers.
I have experience teaching children from ages 3 - 12 through my previous roles teaching a year 1 class (age 5/6) and a mixed age SEMH class (age 7-12) and through completing long-term university placements in both nursery settings and Key Stage One classrooms.
I have a particular passion for inclusion and pursued this area as a specialism during my degree, which included completing a placement in a special school setting and led me to my previous role as an SEN teacher. I have experienced working with children with a range of additional needs including autism, ADHD, PDA and SEMH needs.
I have also worked as a Maths and English tutor for children aged 4-16 for three years.
