About Me
My name is Claire Bromley, and I would like to welcome you to Ladybug’s Childminding. I live with my husband David, my two children Joshua who is 17 and Katie who is 16 and my stepson Oliver who is 13. We also two terrapins named Doreen and Charlie and some tropical fish and 3 kittens. We moved to Garforth in 2017 to be closer to my children’s schools and to start my career as a childminder.
I knew I wanted to work with children from an early age, so I decided to study for my NVQ level 3 in college. However, my life went in a different path, and I ended up working in the hospitality industry and running pubs. When I became pregnant with Joshua, I decided that I needed a change in career and began working for my parents in their lettings business something I had done while still at school. However, I still wanted to work with children. In 2016 I finally decided it was time to do what I always wanted and therefore I started re-training to be a childminder and looking for the perfect house in which to start this new chapter of my life.
I am lucky that I have a very supportive network of both family and friends that have helped me to achieve my dreams.
My Experience
I have the experience of my own children as well as the benefit of having over 8 years’ experience of spending all school holidays with my two best friends and the children they mind. (Who are also childminders and have over 30 years experience between them)
Since qualifying i have been working full time even during covid with children aged between 1 and 12 years of age.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
I charge £5.50 per hour per child with a minimum of 1 hour.
My normal hours of work are Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 5:30pm Friday 7:30 to 1pm
Occasional extensions to these hours can be arranged by request if needed. I do charge double time for any extended hours.
I will be closed all public and bank holidays and no charge will be made for these days. I will also be closed between Christmas and New Year.

Claire is incredible, she has my 7 year boy around school time and my 2 year old daughter 2 days a week but always willing to help with extra support at the drop of a hat and never any request seems too much. My children feel so loved and safe with Claire and the comfort I have when they are with Claire is what all mummy's dream off. My boy has epilepsy and all worries I have are soften when he is with Claire. She keeps me informed and I see and feel how loved she is by both of my children, the children she childminds are her extended family. Evrey day with Claire is a joy for all children and I am so lucky we found her.

Claire is a well known childminder in our area. She is very caring, compassionate and most importantly genuine. You can really tell she takes pride in her work, the kids love her. She also organises a few child related events in our village messy play is one that my boy whilst in her care tags along too. He loves it. She takes loads of photos of outings etc so you can see they are happy and having fun. I am really happy to have been recommended Claire by others and I also would recommend too.

My son joined ladybug childminding when he was 6. He has just left as he is starting high school. Claire is always professional, caring and provides a great environment for the children on her care. She knows your children as well as you and treats the children as one of her own providing a safe and supportive environment. I know that my son will miss her as will we all

My daughter has attended Ladybug’s from the age of 9 months, and is now four. She has enjoyed every moment of her time with Claire throughout that time. Claire is exceptional, her care and engagement with the children is outstanding and I have always felt reassured that my child is safe with her. Claire encourages the children to participate in all activities and encourages learning without them even knowing! I’m so proud that my daughter has learnt so much in this setting and wish to share this experience with you!
