About Me
I was previously a nanny to two boys between 1-3 years old, this position is unfortunately ended due to the boys starting full time school/nursery. I will be looking for a new role starting in December 2024.
I also have a Full Paediatric First Aid Certificate, an enhanced DBS registered to the update service and an Automatic Clean Driving I Licence.
In addition, my hobbies include playing football and badminton which I have played from a young age. I recently went to Australia for the women’s football world cup 2023, and I enjoy travelling new countries and learning about different cultures. Additionally, I like to relax by crafting things and building Lego sets. My family are very important to me, and I am lucky to have a big extended family which has allowed me to care for multiple ages ranges from babies to teens, including experience with twins, through babysitting.
My Experience
I am currently looking after a 2 year old and 5 year old before and after school so I am free from 9:30-2:15 for daytime work if needed. I do some ad hoc during the day for a 15 month old.
My most recent experience was as a full-time nanny of two boys (1-3 years old); this role involved many responsibilities. This included transportation to nursery and extra-curricular activities, carrying out daily routines and meeting dietary requirements of the children. The parents of the family also wanted the boys to have lots of educational exposure, therefore this role also involved a lot of teaching and educational planning this included teaching phonics, maths and handwriting to the older boy. I carefully planned age-appropriate activities and days out to match the interests of the children. In addition, I also did some light household duties including washing up and hovering play areas.
I also have educational experience through being a teaching assistant for a year working with ages 11-16 years old, where I specialised in maths. I ran maths interventions for pupils to support their education. I collaborated with teachers to devise the best ways to support pupils on special learning plans. I also supported the classroom environment making sure students were engaged in the learning and the students behaved in an appropriate manner for a productive classroom environment.
I also have experience working with ages 4-13 through my work at a children’s holiday camp as a head coach. I delivered a programme of activities to groups of up to 25 children, ensuring children were engaged in activities and providing a positive secure environment for the children in my care.
My Qualifications
I am a recent first class graduate in Biomedical Science from Surrey University. A level: A *in Maths, A in Chemistry and A in Biology at Salesian School Chertsey.
