Hello , my name is Shannen.
I have worked in Childcare for over 22 years.
I have now gone on to have my own child who is 7 months old.
I’m happy to offer my services as long as the family is happy for me to have my own child with me.
My Experience
I have been a nanny for over 3 years now.
Responsibilities include:
• school duties, including school run, organising uniform and assisting with homework
• preparing/cooking healthy meals including breakfast, lunch and dinner
• cleaning duties, including laundry
• co-ordination of the households cleaner
• arrange and organise play dates, including arranging trips out, i.e. trips to the park/zoo
• Over night stays/ Night nannying
• oversee and sort the children’s toys (age appropriate)
• organisation and ordering of the family’s food shop twice a week
• looking after the family dog, including dog walks and taking to and arranging grooming appointments
Previous to this I worked in a private nursery for 5 years as a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner
My key responsibilities there included;
* ensuring that children are safe in a secure environment
* ensuring that children feel valued and settled in a loving environment
* working with parents to support their children
* monitoring progress following educational frame work EYFS
* planning educational games
* helping children to feel independent
I have looked after many children ranging from as young as 3 months - 16 years
My Qualifications
Level 3 Diploma Early Learning and Childcare.
Certificate of Accreditation in Paediatric First Aid.
