My name is Dominique Pollard (the children call me Domie). I welcome children from the age of six months to 11 years and pick up from the Meads primary school and from Sunnyside preschool. I provide funded places (30 hours/week) for three year olds and eligible 2year olds. The funded hours can be shared with another setting, for example preschool. We live on the outskirts of East Grinstead in the Sunnyside area. I speak fluent French and English, and a little German too. I provide lots of creative activities for children of all ages, such as baking, painting, messy play, gardening, crafts as well as toys and play opportunities both indoors and outdoors (EYFS curriculum). We like to go for walks in the surrounding fields and woods and we visit local parks, farms, indoor play areas and toddler groups regularly. I provide healthy snacks and home cooked food and aim to create a caring and fun, home-from-home environment.
My Experience
I have four children of my own who are aged 26,23,21and 19.I became a registered childminder in 2007 and have continued to update my training and qualifications.
My Qualifications
I am registered with Ofsted which involves having a mandatory enhanced dbs check and regular inspections of my setting and practice; as well as holding up to date certificates in first aid and food safety, and safeguarding. I have also completed the diploma in homebased child care (grade A) and have recently completed a degree with honours in childhood studies. I offer the free entitlement (free spaces) to eligible two, three and four year olds.
My Availability
My current opening hours are between 7.30am and 6.30 pm Mondays to Fridays. This is based on parental needs and hours outside these may be possible and are therefore subject to discussion. I currently have vacancies for two pre school children on Fridays and some before and after school vacancies. Please call for more information on after school/part time vacancies.

I'm so glad we found Domie when looking for childcare for our daughter who were 9 months old. Domie is caring, friendly, patient and has made our daughter comfortable with her. Our daughter loves Her and run to her when she come to pick her up in the morning. Domie take her for activities and parks/ outings, we have seen lot of improvement on our daughter.Also she was flexible and helpful. I very much recommend Dominic Pollard to anyone looking for childcare.
