About Me
We are young fun, energetic, caring and loving sisters living in Islington, North London. (Melissa and Melanie) We have cared for children from as young as 10 years old due to our brother having his first born. That's when our love for looking after children first started! From changing nappies, to making bottles, to ironing her clothes, playing with her and giving her cuddles! From then on, we knew exactly what we wanted to do "when we grow up" and that hasn't changed. We even still have school books when we wrote "when I grow up I want to look after children". It's amazing because now I (Melissa) have obtained my BA Honours degree in Early Childhood Studies as well as Level 4 in postnatel/maternity care. I (Melanie) qualified with a Level 3 in Childcare and Education
We are seeking families who require an emergency/back up nanny, or an evening/weekend babysitter. We have 11 years in total experience as a qualified childcarer and have worked in various nurseries and schools while doing this we have experience in working with children with special needs and learning difficulties.
We are reliable, prompt, flexible and trustworthy. Equally important, our skills include:
- Caring and playful
-Introduce new activities depending on age and stage of child/children
- To take child/children on fun days out
-Responsive to instructions
- Follow to child/children's daily routine
-Provide a safe environment for child/children
- Able to cook nutritious meals
-Make eating time, bath time, dressing and changing nappies an enjoyable experience for child/children
-Support child/children with independent skills including toilet training and dressing
- Encourage/support child/children to tidy up (depending on age)
-Feeding back to parents after shifts
-Knowledge on physical, intellectual, emotional/social, development of children
-Patience and understanding
-The ability to cope with unexpected situations
-Commitment to health and safety
- Providing support to parents after birth

-We have worked in several nurseries (baby rooms, toddlers and pre-school)
-I (Melissa) have worked in schools (Reception and key stage 1)
- We have had nannying/babysitting experience since 2014
-We are regularly booked to babysit on evenings and weekends
- We have a Full driving license with a car. We have 5 years experience as a confident driver.

I had Melissa as my 6 months' old daughter's babysitter based on friend's recommendation, and was pleased to have her helping us. Not knowing what to expect for the first time hiring a babysitter so my husband and I can have some couple times out, Melissa put us at ease right away when she walked in. She easily grabbed our daughter's attention, continued with her feeding and bathed her before putting her to bed. We were pleased to find that our little one was sound asleep by her usual bed time. Melissa made it a very positive experience for us and now we know that we can have some 'us' time when needed!
