About Me
My name is Lauren and I work with my best friend Hannah. We went to school together so our friendship spans years. I live with my teo daughters and a cat called teddy and Hannah lives with her two sons. We work together Monday-Thursday 7.30-5.30. My details are also on Hertfordshire directory.
During the week we have a good routine which helps the children settle and know what they are doing. We go out every morning to different playgroups, soft play and in warmer weather the park. We cover Cranbourne school/nursery.
We have lived in hoddesdon for 17 years so know the local area well. I have worked with children for 20 years and have experience with all age groups. Hannah has been my assistant for the last 7 years.
I have a purpose built playroom that the children use for the majority of play based activities. We eat together in the kitchen and they sleep on children’s beds in the living room. The garden is also made for children with astroturf flooring and a fenced area for non walking babies.
My Experience
I have been a childminder since April 2017.As I have had my own children I have experience with young babies/new born. I worked for a local authority run children centre for 9 years. I started as a senior officer in the pre school room. Upon my return from maternity leave I was promoted to deputy manager. I held this position until 2016 when I was made redundant. My previous role has given me a lot of experience and knowledge in early years. I have supported families with a number of different situation and i am used to working with children, families and other professionals. Prior to this job I worked in 2 other private nurseries as room leaders with children aged from 4 months -5 years.

I have a cache diploma in child care and education
Up to date first aid and safe guarding training

Amazing childminder service, I was very nervous about sending my little one to childcare when going back to work. But Lauren and Hannah have been great, I was so worried about her not wanting to go and getting upset when we left her but it was the complete opposite, my little one loves going here.
Since starting in October 2023 my little one has developed so much, both her speaking and day to day mannerisms have developed exceptionally. Lauren and Hannah both make it a priority to teach her new things and have created such a great bond with her, as well as making sure she has lots of fun. Hannah and Lauren make it a priority to offer educational and developmental aspects as well as a warm, fun and homely environment.
Lauren and Hannah make an incredible team and we would 1000% recommend for anyone looking for childcare!

Lauren & Hannah have looked after my little girl since she was 9 months old. They have given a home from home experience and my daughter has loved being with them. She goes on a variety of outings with them throughout the week and has developed well being around the other children of a variety of ages. Really pleased with the setting and support from both of them!

My son has been with Lauren and Hannah since he was 9 months old. He is now 2 and thriving! He absolutely loves going there every week.
They do daily activities and always go out to things like soft play and play groups which the children love. It’s also great that us grown ups get a daily update to see how they're getting on.
I highly recommend Lauren and Hannah. They are amazing!

Lauren and Hannah are fantastic and my son has really come on leaps and bounds with them. He learns lots and they do so many activities with the children. We get daily updates about what the children are doing and how they have been and progress meetings throughout the year. I would recommend Lauren and Hannah to anyone.

We have been incredibly fortunate to have Lauren and Hannah caring for our little boy, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. From the very first meeting, it was clear that they are not only highly professional but also genuinely passionate about working with children.
They have created a warm, safe, and nurturing environment where our son feels at home. The daily activities are well thought out and cater to both educational development and fun, including a mix of indoor and outdoor play, creative crafts, and storytime.
Communication with Lauren and Hannah is great. We receive regular updates and photos, which reassure us that our son is happy.
Our little boy looks forward to his time there each day and has developed strong social skills and confidence. We wholeheartedly recommend Lauren and Hannah to any parent seeking a reliable, caring, and dedicated childminder.

My little one has been with Lauren & Hannah for nearly 3 years. He has grown so much and absolutely loves going to Lauren's. My review simply echoes everyone else's 5 star reviews. I simply would not leave my child with anyone else. He is seen as family there and I'd now like to think of Lauren & Hannah as apart of our own family too.
I thought I would do my review sightly different. Here is a review from an almost 4 year old ' I like the toys, we go to the park & soft play. Lauren always makes me my favourite lunch. She knows me'.

Lauren and Hannah are fantastic! They’ve looked after my little boy since he is 1 years old. It was a tricky time for me as I was returning to work as a first time mum but the ladies reasurred me so much. I’m truely grateful for everything they do. The daily feedback with pictures and videos are lovely and my son is so happy to go to ‘school’

Both of my children have been with Lauren since they were babies. Not only does she provide a safe and educational environment for them she also provides a happy one. My children adore Lauren and Hannah. My husband and I feel so lucky we are able to leave our children with someone like her. Knowing they are growing up around the lovely ways of Lauren’s is all you want as a parent.

So greatful for Lauren and Hannah and couldnt wish for any better to look after my girls who have been in their setting for coming up 3 hours. Lauren and Hannah are both friendly, trustworthy, honest and you can see through all they do they genuinely care and have love for the children they look after.
They have both been great with my girls especially my little one who suffers with anxieties and have shown patience and understanding for her and the little ways that she has.
The setting is a great set up which is always clean and inviting for the children, daily updates are great and both Lauren and Hannah are really easy to communicate with, i know whether my children are indoors with them or outside at a playgroup or for an activity they are in safe and loving hands whilst also learning new things everyday.
