About Me

Hi, my name is Rumena and I’m an Ofsted registered childminder based in Audenshaw. I have been working as a childminder since 2017 and have 4 children of my own. I work with an assistant who is a qualified primary school teacher. Together we offer a loving, caring environment with lots of educational opportunities for the children in our care.

My setting location... i live on a quiet road next to rycroft park. The park has the perfect play area for little ones. On Wednesdays we run a tots group at ryecroft hall. The children love setting up the room, ready for lots of children to come and play with us.

My home setting consists of a good sized playroom dedicated to imaginary play! A seperate sleep room; with sensory lights and relaxing music. (Camera used if we are not present) and a large open plan living area. We use this newly built kitchen/diner for baking and lots of arts/crafts!

The children are free to use all areas of downstairs. We often rotate ourselves round each room as the day goes on. I also have a large back garden, with an enclosed decking area, water play and a lovely veg plot. We love planting, watering and eating our own fruit and veg! Our bi-fold doors mean we can bring the outdoors in, we have this open during good weather so the children can have free flow play.

I think that children develop beautifully when they are comfortable and happy, all the children here are made to feel at home in a safe, nurturing environment. We have a family tree in the playroom, each parent is encouraged to make their own all about me poster, this shows how every child that they are very much apart of our setting, during talking time they also spark some lovely conversations.

I offer a term-time only service, holidays are shared as soon as possible.
I do however have local childminders - local who are able to cover school holidays. My parents agree this in advance with these childminders and can arrange to visit them beforehand.

I no longer do before and after school care. This is because I really want to focus our attention on the under 5’s now.

I offer 9 month, 2,3 and 4 year old funding as well as student grants for childcare and tax free childcare.
