About Me

I am a qualified primary school teacher and an Ofsted Registered Childminder with over 19 years of experience working within Early Years and Key stage 1.

I have always worked with children, and couldn't have a greater passion in life; I don't see my role as a job, instead I see it as an opportunity to open up the eyes of little ones and give them an enhanced ability to interact, engage and respond to the magical world around them. I was very fortunate to have a fantastic childhood filled with lots of open-ended play and countless chances to explore and use my imagination - I truly believe that this is one of the best ways to learn.

In August 2016, my husband and I were blessed with out first little one -something that I had always dreamt about.

In my heart, at the time, I always knew that when I became a mummy I wouldn't want to go back to teaching full-time; I had always contemplated childminding as a possible option, but after having Theo my decision and vision to set up my own business became simplistically clear.

In September 2017, I became an Ofsted Registered Childminder and I returned to my school children for only 1 day a week. In my mind, at that point, I officially became a 'stay at home' mummy for Theo, and began the incredible journey of welcoming other little ones into my home, to cherish and love, whilst their mummy's and daddy's work for their greater good.

I finally made the decision to leave teaching altogether in July 2019, and have dedicated 5 days a week to childminding ever since.

In June 2021, we welcomed our second child, Sebastian, into our family. We are now officially complete as a family of 4, alongside our mischievous, yet loving, cat, Gizmo.

So here it is - my offering - a home from home experience and an opportunity for your little one to be nurtured and loved; enabling them to flourish and grow in mind, spirit and confidence throughout their precious early years.

I am also currently in the position to offer after school care and pick-ups for children that attend Tylers Green Middle School. With an experienced knowledge of the curriculum and an understanding of pastoral needs beyond the classroom, older children will equally love my setting!
