My name is Chris and I have two beautiful little girls aged 11 and 14 respectively. I have been working as a fully registered Child Minder for over 6 years now and I am most passionate about: working with children and meeting their needs. My family and I will welcome your children into our home where they will be treated as part of the family and be cared for in a safe environment. There will be lots of activities daily and home cooked food. The culture will be both nurturing and caring, but also educational in a relaxed way.
I will prioritise working with parents openly and honestly and treat the relationship as important as looking after your children; two way communication is always beneficial to fostering the best outcomes for your child. I will be accepting vouchers as payment - Care4, ComputerShare, EdenRed and the recent Government Scheme.
I am fully registered with Ofsted, on both the compulsory and voluntary register(s) and am a member of PACEY. As of June 2019, I had my first post-registration visit from OFSTED and was rated 'Good' so please feel free to read that report via their website.
I provide breakfast, healthy snack choices and home cooked evening meals. It is wrap around care only for reception years and above, but I do offer some full days during term breaks.
I will drop off and collect children from Finstall First and the older Aston Fields Middle School children will walk to and from school as a group to ensure a higher risk of safety (in numbers) and minimise the risks. Some of the older children have mobile phones with which they text me to advise that they have arrived outside the school safely or they are on route back from school/after school club(s).
My Experience
I have now been working with children in my own practice for over 6 years and have recently attained my first OFSTED rating of 'Good'. I have done a lot of Children's and Youth Work in other settings in my spare time over the years, including teaching martial arts. I am also a Governor of a local First School in Bromsgrove and go into another as a volunteer to help with reading.
My Qualifications
I am a fully registered Child Minder with OFSTED and a full member of PACEY. I have taken various courses in Safe Guarding, Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, Paediatric First Aid, Administering Medication, etc. My role as a School Governor involves me having direct responsibility of their Safe Guarding policy and practice - so in turn it keeps me up to date with current legislation and working practice within the EYFS.
My Availability
My availability during term time is before and after school. I offer 7.30am to 9am as a norm but, I do also offer a 7am start at an additional cost; then afternoons from school finishing until 6.00pm. During half/end of/summer term breaks, I will always advise of additional FULL days on offer. Always flexible and encourage open communication.

- Childminding from £4.00 per hour
Before School 07:00 to 09:00 - £10.75 including breakfast
Before school 07:30 to 09:00 - £6.75 including breakfast
After school 15:15 to 17:00 - £6.75 including cooked dinner, snacks and drinks
After school 15:15 to 18:00 - £8.75 including cooked dinner, snacks and drinks
Holiday Club - between terms or teacher training days £25.75 per day - including breakfast, lunch and tea.

My daughter enjoyed everyday she spent with Chris & his family. Chris provides superb care & service which is second to none. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for childcare in the Bromsgrove region.

I am a single parent and have used Chris' child minding services for my children aged 11 (boy) and 10 (girl) for before and after school. Both of them enjoy their time there. It is a clean and safe child friendly environment. Chris makes the children feel at home with the obvious and necessary boundaries and restrictions. Chris organises regular activities and games for the children. In the nice weather I always found them on the trampoline or outside on bikes and skateboards when I came to pick them up. Chris is also a good cook, making sure the the children ate home cooked meals.

My daughter has been going to Chris for the whole of this term and it has worked very well. Although he can't pick up from Aston Fields, the children are all good and walk together so it is working fine.
Chris cooks excellent food for the children and they always seem to be having fun when I arrive to pick up.

Chris provided a really valuable service in the holiday allowing my daughter to attend the cricket club and then picking her up at 3.00. She had a huge and yummy tea so she tells me and really enjoyed playing with Chris's two daughters.
I hope to use Chris in the future for after school care.
