My name is Sophie and I am 34 years old. I live at home with my partner of 16 years, our 8yr old son and our 4yr old daughter.
I am an outgoing, caring and flexible individual who is committed to providing a fun, happy, engaging and safe environment for children to play and learn in. Please message for more information.

My Experience
I have over 16yrs of experience of working with children from birth up to 11 years.
After having my son I wanted to spend more time at home but still do what I love. I aim to provide a home from home experience to support each individual family that I care for.
My Qualifications
Level one in Childcare and Education
Level 2 in Childcare and Education
Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education
BA Hons Degree in Early Childhood Studies. (Level 6)
Paediatric First Aid
Level 2 and 3 in Safeguarding Children
Fully qualified Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator.

Our daughter started with Sophie just after her 1st birthday when I returned to work in April 2020 and has absolutely loved her time so far.
It was so important to my husband and I that we found a childminder that ticked every box and Sophie does that and more.
We get regular updates/photo's throughout the day which always make my day as I can see all of the wonderful things they get up too.
As soon as our daughter Iris was walking she was happily walking into Sophie's house in the morning, will give Sophie a big hug and then happily wave goodbye to me as I leave, she is also full of smiles when I pick her up at the end of the day.
Like most Mommies after a year off I wasn't sure how I would feeI however I had no anxiety going back to work. Sophie made the whole process so easy and reassuring, it has been an absolute dream
Sophie is very passionate and extremely professional and we feel very lucky to have found her!

Sophie welcomed our little boy Evan in to her home in September 2017 and we couldn't be happier with how well it's going. She has made going back to work so much easier knowing that he is in such a great place. The activities Sophie does with the boys are so varied and fun and opening up his backpack and finding little bits of artwork is just so lovely. Her daily diaries are brilliant and so personal. She always celebrates the great things he has done during the day and let's us know when he has been feeling sensitive and needed extra cuddles. The more detailed monthly development records are just brilliant and we get to see lots of photos and notes about how well he's doing.
Sophie has been so flexible which is really important to us as Evan's daddy works shifts.
We are a bilingual Spanish/English family and Sophie has incorporated Spanish words in to their activities, making a Spanish counting wall and even finding a Spanish group to take the boys to.
We are over the moon that we found Sophie and we hope Evan can continue to stay with Sophie as he grows!

Our son has been going to Sophie's for a couple of months now and we couldn't be happier with the care he's getting. He's well looked after and Sophie is contributing greatly to his development. Sophie's daily reports keep us fully informed and enable us all to track developmental milestones and behaviours. Our son has formed a great bond with Sophie's son, which is lovely to see. We couldn't recommend Sophie highly enough.
