About Me
Hello, My name is Joy Martin, I am 26 years old and I am looking for a Nanny role.
Working with children is incredibly rewarding, full of joy and allows you to see the magic in this world! So I have been doing nothing else but expanding my experience and knowledge for the past eight years so I can be an adaptable teacher for children of all needs and personalities. I have worked in Forest schools, Montessori education, SEND experience and childrens centers in India and Tanzania.
My Experience
After completing my Childcare Apprenticeship 9 years ago I have been working in a variety of settings and taken up different trainings.
I have spent a few months in Tanzania working in a children's center and teaching in the local Pre school. It was an incredible experience to find ways to introduce my play-lead approach of teaching with Tanzania's more academic style.
I have been training as a Forest school Leader and have run my own sessions for children aged 3-11.
Story telling is also a big passion of mine and I often run story telling sessions in the settings that I work in. I have worked in a Montessori school where I have undergone training in this unique approach. More recently I have been working in Kensington as a Nanny for 2 children under 5. I have a recent Paediatric First Aid certificate and a DBS check through my previous role.
