About Me
I have been an Ofsted registered child minder since 2003 and currently hold an Outstanding report.
I have three children of my own, who have all now grown up and gone to/graduated from university. I have a passion for looking after children and creating a warm and nurturing environment for all those in my care, making them feel safe and confident. Another passion of mine is cooking, therefore I always ensure fresh home cooked meals are prepared daily for children.
The main reason I decided to child mind was because being a parent myself at the time, I needed someone who could offer flexibility as well as quality, home-like care. I understand parents concerns, especially in this day and age when fulltime no longer means working nine to five. I work around parents schedules, and likewise my contracts are catered to parents needs.
My Experience
I have been child minding for the last 14 years, and have personal experience of raising my own three children, both of which were/are a wonderful and rewarding experience.
Prior to child minding I used to hold workshops to build children's confidence and self esteem by providing one to one support and entering children's own work into competitions and publishers.
I have an NVQ3 in Childcare and attend regular training courses. I have an up to date Paediatric First Aid certificate and I regularly update my child protection training. I also have full public liability insurance cover and a full/clean UK driving licence.
My Qualifications
NVQ 3 in child care. Paediatric First Aid .CRB vetted , Certificates in EYFS, Birth To Three, Safeguarding Children, Diploma in Home based Care and member of NCMA. At present working towards Higher Education in Children and Families.
My Availability
I work from 6am to 9pm
Majority of my parents work with NHS and therefore shifts and rota play an important part ,organising their childcare.
I work with qualified assistants who are fully qualified and first aiders which enables me to do school runs in the morning and the afternoons,adding holiday care and emergency care all under one roof. I do school pick ups and drop off in my area.
