My Summary
About Me
Spaces 2025.
Wednesday and Thursday 8.00 till 5.00 (free funding accepted).
I used to be with Ofsted when I first became a childcare professional in 2011 and then in 2021, I joined a childminding agency.
I rejoined Ofsted in November 2023 and I have had a recent Ofsted inspection in October 2024.
I am registered to offer free government funding, if parents are eligible, from 9 months old.
I am a great communicator and keep parents informed of their child’s day, by sending photos on a daily basis, using WhatsApp.
I follow the early years foundation stage statutory framework.
I focus on all areas of development, using development matters hand book :-
Physical
Speech and language
Personal, social and emotional development
Literacy
Mathematics
Understanding the world
Expressive arts and design.
There’s lots of opportunities for children to mark make indoors and out, using different resources.
I observe your child’s developments and will work with parents if there are any concerns.
I teach children about where vegetables come from and grow our own produce. We have an allotment we go to once or twice a week.
We go out to local wooded areas as often as we can. Playing in wooded areas provides a different educational experience. Climbing and balancing on logs, counting pine cones, using sticks for mark making in the dirt/mud, playing in puddles, teaching flower names and tree species, collecting items chosen by the children in the wooded area. We love visiting National Trust gardens and will often take a picnic with us.
There is also an abundance of wildlife to teach the children about. I’m passionate about being outdoors and there’s plenty of opportunities to teach the Early Years Foundation Stage outside as well as indoors.
We go to a number of parks in our local area too. I also meet up with childminders in my area two or three times a week.
We attend local toddler groups. Giving the children confidence, being in a larger group of children and providing more activities for the children to engage in.
We do lots of arts & crafts, role play, reading books, jigsaws, board games, to name a few.
I have been looking after children for over 13 years and I have lots of experience with children of all ages. I love my job and most of all I enjoy watching children develop into confident little people, ready to go on to school.
I provide a happy home from home environment for children of all ages. It is important to me that the children I care for are happy, content and having fun.
I use an online system called Kinderly. This way, I can send contracts through via email, rather than do a paper contract.
The playroom and toys are cleaned regularly to minimise the spread of germs.
I live in the Hollywood area, not far from the M42. The local school we walk to is The Coppice, Shawhurst Lane, Hollywood.
I am a member of PACEY and I keep up to date with new ideas and changes to EYFS.
I do offer government free funding for 9 month olds, 2 year olds and 3/4 year olds.
I’m registered for tax free child care payment on Childcare Choices website. All parents should take a look at Childcare Choices and sign up, if entitled to tax free childcare.
Please feel free to call me to discuss your childcare needs.

Jayne has been an excellent childminder for our son since he was 10 months old. He is always excited to see Jayne and more than happy to be left in her care. We get regular updates and photographs of their day and activities which include regular days out to the National Trust , play groups etc,, as well as exciting activities at Jayne's home such as painting and water play.
Jayne gives us regular updates on our son's development which, as first time parents, has been invaluable.
Our son's time at Jayne's setting has aided him into becoming a confident and happy little boy who is developing well. Thank you Jayne.
Jayne has been looking after my 1 year daughter since she was 6 months old . Jane is outstanding in all areas ; safeguarding and providing a calm organised and loving enviorment . Her attention and detail to each child in her care is second to none . She invests her heart and soul to make each day special ; from creative arts to tailored days out in the countryside and National trusts parks to name but a few . Her excellent daily diary records and communication with parents ensures that there is a real knowledge of all childrens skills , likes , dislikes and preferred meals . She loves our girl like her own and my daughter screams with excitment when I drop her off. Jayne is constantly keeping her own CPD up to date and follows the updated KCSIE and DFE guidance. Her calm nature filters through her work and I cannot recommend her enough . She develops activites according to each childs needs so that they make excellent progress in her care. Jane is unassuming , intelligent and has a heart of gold . The learning enviorment is creative and links caeefully across the curriculum with all prime and specific elements of learning . She is highly gifted in teaching real life skills and has high expectations of all children . Thank you will never be enough . I look forward to many years with Annie in your special care . Annie's mum .
Jayne has been looking after my daughter for a year now. On our very first visit I knew that Jayne's home would be a home from home for my daughter. Especially as Jayne has a very friendly and calm manner. My daughter really enjoys the time she spends at Jayne's house and she often comes home with things she has made there. She particularly loves spending time with the pets in the garden and playing with wide variety of toys in the play room. My husband and I are very pleased with the care that Jayne provides and would not hesitate to recommend her to others.
My son has been cared for by Jayne since I returned to work when he was 9 months old, he is now nearly 3yrs. He is very happy and comfortable being there. The environment is very welcoming and friendly. There are separate sections for toys, crafts and meal times. He especially likes playing in the large garden with a variety of animals to feed. Jayne cares for a mixed age group so he is learning social skills, sharing and has developed nice friendships. They go on outings to the local library which encourages his love of books. He enjoys bringing home the different crafts, drawings and paintings he has very proudly completed. He loves me to read back his daily written report that Jayne provides including the meals he has eaten, cottage pie being his favourite. Jayne is a good childminder who I trust to care for my son, to know he is safe and happy is great peace of mind. I plan for him to continue there until he goes to school as he is very settled. Excellant.
