Shafaq Khan

Brilliant!

I posted on this site as we had reserved a place for our daughter at the local nursery but as I had to return to work earlier than her place was available, we had to find a temporary place for her for 6 weeks!
Shafaq was one of the first to reach out to me and after meeting her and her husband Kamal, we knew it would be a great fit for us and they were happy to take her!
Considering it was a temporary placement, they both welcomed our 14m old daughter with such kindness and care. It was evident she was looked after very well; she was safe, had lots of outdoor time, exposure to a variety of age appropriate toys, her development came on leaps and bounds, and our daughter both ate and slept really well there. It was clear she enjoyed being there which gave us parents real peace of mind.
Shafaq & Kamal sent us regular updates and photos/ videos throughout the day via whatsapp, gave us clear instructions on what our daughter would need and how they operate and we felt everything went very smoothly. They have even reached out since to ask how our daughter has settled into nursery :)
Had it not been for our own personal childcare needs (e.g. longer hours, etc), we would loved for our daughter to have had a permanent placement there so we highly recommend them to anyone.
Thank you so much for looking after our daughter so well, offering her a temporary placement despite the high demands in the area and being a fantastic example of what childcare should look like.

Above and Beyond!!

My 2 year old son has been going to Shafaq and Kamal's house for a year now.

He settled very well during the first couple of days of being there, which is quite surprising considering toddlers can take ages to adjust to a new environment.

Since the time he's been there, we can see a massive change in him. His speech is delayed and hasn't said a word yet, however they make him feel so comfortable in their setting that he doesn't want to come home sometimes! He has now started interacting and communicating in different ways and all the credit goes to them as they have gone above and beyond their normal responsibilities to make sure he learns, interacts and at the same time ensuring that we as parents are kept at ease. This just goes to show how professional they truly are.

They send us regular pictures of him playing/interacting on a daily basis. My son will happily eat there and on occasions when he refuses to eat anything, Shafaq will go out of her way to give him something else to eat, which I think is commendable.

I can go on and on praising them (as they are truly worth the praise), however if you are looking to send your child to a childminder who will treat your child as their own then I wouldn't think twice to send them here.

Our kids were well looked after .....

Our two lovely kids 4 and 2 yrs old had a great time at Shafaq and Kamal . They were well looked after and each day we were receiving photos with different activities.

Our kids enjoyed so much the time spent at their house and sadly we had to finish the contract with them as it was only for 2 months. Thank you so much for all the help and wish you all the best !

Caring and very polite

After my maternity leave, we were so worried to leave my little baby who was just 10 months old at child care, but one of our friend’s suggested Shafaq & Kamal Khan.
After reading reviews about them we decided to meet them, after meeting with them for twice we were completely satisfied that my little Baby is going to stay with them when we are at our work.

And undoubtedly they have looked really well and my little one was happy to go there.

We were always updated about my little one is feeling through our WhatsApp group where regular photos and videos are uploaded.

Sometimes we use to get delays in the evening to pick up my little one but they were completely OK with it and never showed any frustration to us.

Really loving, caring and polite people.

My daughter's second family

Shafaq and Kamal Khan had been childminding my daughter for around 2 years and I could not have expected a better care than what was provided by them. My older son visited a nursery and I did not have any experience with childminders. However, my expectations have been exceeded. They are flexible where they can and my daughter loved to go to their house which is very lovely with many toys and bright colours. At times where my daughter was upset with me, she said she wanted to go to Shafaq aunty's house :) This year my daughter is starting with reception but if we ever should need a childminder again, it would be Shafaq and Kamal despite the fact that we have moved house. Thanks you so much for having provided such excellent care. I always had peace of mind when Liyanne was with you. I wish you all the best :)
