About Me
OFSTED REGISTEED WITH DBS AND FIRST AID.
I am 31 years old and I am passionate about working with children and enabling them to have the best start to life possible. I am a mum of one, who is nine years old and we live in Margate, near Salmestone Primary School.
I believe children need to be given plenty of opportunity to learn through play and to also be provided with life experiences. I will have outings with the children to help provide this. I teach respect and morals alongside having fun. I also believe that spending time getting messy and time outside is vital, and will minimise technology (although a level of this is important) in order to gain interests and experiences in lots of different ways. I have a designated under cover space outdoors to extend our learning, rain or shine!

My Experience
I have worked within schools since I was 19 and have experience as bank staff in a Nursery before this. Prior to Childminding I worked as a Learning Mentor and delivered Social, Emotional and Behavioural interventions to xhildren within a Nurture Group. I worked with children from Reception to Year 2 with this Nurture group so have Early Years experience from this. I also have vast experience with delivering interventions from Reception to Year 6, who require Social, Emotional and Behavioural support. I have also worked with SEN children, particularly those with Autism, and have good strategies and boundaries to support this, which is inclusive of using visuals to support routines. Additionally , I have EAL experience. I worked as a childminder for three years before completing a degree in Psychology, and I am now returning again to this role.

I am always increasing my training and experience to keep up to date with guidelines and legislation and to improve on my professional development.
Currently I am working on Hygge in the Early Years which is very exciting for my setting.
My Availability
I am available from 8am-4pm Monday to Thursday. There could possibly be flexibility with these days and times, depending on notice and ratios. Because of the school run for my daughter, the children should be with me before 8.20am and either picked up before 2.30pm or after 3.30pm. For an extra charge I could possibly accommodate drop off/pick ups.
I am willing to do overtime if necessary if I can accommodate for this, but again I will need notice.
I will work all year round and will provide plenty of notice of holiday that I will take.
I currently have space for a Monday and Tuesday.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.25 per hour
£5.25 per hour. Pick up and drop offs will be charged at an extra £2.50 to cover the extra cost of petrol. If I am working outside of my normal hours I will charge £6.25 per hour.
My Local Schools

Chelcie has been looking after my son since my return to work. She has made the wrench of leaving my little one so easy with pictures and little texts throughout the day. I can see he’s so happy, which makes leaving him so much easier.
He’s thriving in Chelcie’s care, developing well and reaching all the milestones he should. She offers him a stimulating and safe environment to be able to learn new things.
She’s recently taken on the afternoon school run to collect my 5 year old daughter as well and offers her a great setting to chill out after a hard day at school.
I could not be happier with the care she provides and would highly recommend her to any parent.

Chelcie looks after our son, and has always shown care and compassion when dealing with him. She has always been highly professional and puts our son’s feelings first. Her lovely daughter is a brilliant reflection on her kind-heartedness

My child uses Chelcie’s service twice a week, and she is thriving. Her speech has come along so much since using Chelcie. I couldn’t have trusted anyone better. Her little pack I of how far she’s come is always good to look at. The activities Chelcie does are amazing learning and sensory. I would highly recommend.
