About Me
Hello, my name is Betty. I am an OFSTED registered childminder with many years of experience in childcare. I'm a loving mother of my 16 and 18-year-old sons. My husband works at Merton College and fully supports me in fulfilling my career as a childminder. We live in Lower Morden in a 3 bedroom house with a big garden. Our house is located next to Morden Park and is within walking distance of local schools Hatfeild, St.John Fisher and Aragon Primary Schools, as well as Bow Lane Nursery. I am a very responsible, fun and trustworthy person and one of the things that I love the most, is caring for children. If I do take care of your child, they will be treated and loved as my own! I am a very active, nurturing and creative person- working with children makes me happy and fulfilled. I believe by giving them a secure and stimulating environment they grow to the best of their potential. For me every child is different and unique that is why my approach is individual for each of them.
My Experience
I offer a home-from-home environment whilst, at the same time providing a range of carefully planned activities. My house has plenty of space for the children to play inside and out- the kitchen door opens out onto the patio and garden and all of these are at one level, without steps. In my setting I engage children in many activities, such as art, music, role play, messy play, outdoor play and outings (Library, play groups, playgrounds, farm, museums, theatre etc). I organise regular trips to open spaces including parks and woodlands. We also visit soft play centres as well as story and drama sessions at local libraries. Through my years of working with children I have realized how hands-on activities, when children use all of their senses in play, can boost their development and support learning.
I have a very good understanding and knowledge of EYFS as I worked for over 10 years at a nursery and during this time held a room leader position for over 5 years. I have been a childminder since 2017.

My Availability
As a mother I understand parents’ needs so I always try to be flexible. My opening hours are from 8 am to 6 pm with the opportunity to extend, five days a week (Monday to Thursday) all year round.
I provide homemade food – well balanced and always fresh. I am willing to adjust the menu to the child's needs.
I have a clean, full driving license.
