My name is Rahima Begum and I am an OFSTED registered and qualified childminder in the area of Forest Gate (near Wanstead Flats). I have been a childminder since 2003 thus I am highly experienced. I have a passion for working with children and providing an excellent childcare service which is why I became a childminder. I create good relationships with children and parents to ensure the children in my care are happy and secure in my setting. My goal is to ensure that in my setting the children are having fun whilst learning.
I provide children a safe and caring environment working under EYFS curriculum to ensure children in my care are flourishing both emotionally and academically. I have a wide variety of resources/equipment suitable for all ages catered to help enhance the learning and development of the children in my care whilst keeping them entertained. I take the children out on visits to local parks, libraries, children centres, toddler groups and more to help the children thrive and enjoy themselves.
All the adults in my household are DBS checked. I observe and assess children in my care and track their progress using the EYFS curriculum to ensure they are making the utmost progress and identify next steps for improvements.

I have a large home, which is ideal for children as it encourages children to explore. My house also has a toy/play room, which is equipped with many toys and resources for children to play and learn in. Children have access to my garden, at all times, which is filled with loads of equipment suitable for all ages to support their physical development.

Rahima has looked after my son for 3 months and I would like to thank you enormously for the love and care you have given to him in the short time you have looked after him. He is always settled and is happy to stay, he is very active and Rahima always find ways to stimulate him throughout the day. I would highly recommend you to other parents :)

Rahima has been an excellent childminder for our little boy, he would run in happy and excited to be there. She was patient and kind and really built a strong connection with him. He would do interesting and varied activities, including plenty of outdoor time. Highly recommended.

Rahema took good care of my 2 year old for 3months . He was sad to have moved on and said he had a good time with Rahema.
Rahema was flexible and helped me in a tough spot . I never felt concerned he was getting anything other than good solid childcare.

Our daughter has been going to Rahima's home for almost 4 months now and we consider ourselves very lucky to have found her. Rahima is very warm and loving towards the children in her care - she seems genuinely pleased to see our daughter and our daughter loves going there too. Our daughter is almost 1 and a half and it's clear that her development is improving due to being at Rahima's home - she comes back with new words and actions that we haven't taught her. We get photos sent and we can see that there is a never-ending supply of toys and activities being made available. They also get taken to the park for picnics and to feed the ducks. Rahima's home is spacious and immaculately clean. She only has a small group of children, which we have found helps with not getting lots of sickness that nurseries and larger childminder groups seem to suffer from. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Rahima to any parent.

My daughter has been going to Rahimas for a little over 6 months now. Her language and expressions are developing really well due to the exposure and interaction with the many activities that Rahima covers. My daughter settled very quickly and really enjoys seeing Rahima. Rahima is also very flexible with timings and has helped me a lot with providing on the day childcare when I need it. We continue to enjoy this level of childcare.

My 1 year old daughter spent 2 weeks with Rahima for emergency childcare. I was very worried about how my daughter would settle but from the first day she was very happy. Rahima is warm and friendly and clearly extremely good with children. If we lived closer I wouldn't hesitate to use her as our permanent childminder but sadly we are too far away.

My daughter has been with Rahima since she was only 9 months old. The promotion of play and learning ensures my daughter (now 23 months old) is constantly gaining new knowledge from the range of educational and fun activities she is exposed to at Rahima's. Rahima is very flexible, understanding, considerate and pays great attention to the children in her care. I would recommend her as a minder of choice.

Rahima is an excellent childminder and has been looking after our baby since she was 4 months old (now 7 months). As a first time mum I was nervous about our daughter being away, especially not having socialised much with other children due to lockdown. But being with Rahima has helped her develop and grow curious - she loves playing with toys and the other children, and the setup at Rahima’s is safe, extremely clean and intimate so we feel reassured she’s in the best place. Rahima sends photos throughout the day so we know how our daughter is getting on. She also adapts the care to meet our needs, giving our baby bottled milk to begin with and now helping on our weaning journey. Would highly recommend!

We are so happy with Rahima looking after our 1 year old daughter.
Rahima’s is very professional, her house is spotless, she has lots of toys, and does lots of activities with our daughter that really help with her development. Rahima also sends pics through the day which we really enjoy receiving.
I would highly recommend to anyone.

Our son started with Rahima when he was 6 months old, he is now 9 month old and we couldn’t be more happy. She is very professional and confident and as first time parents she reassured us from the day we met her. Her house is large and full of toys and she organises tones of activities for the children to play and learn together (the spaghetti plate sharing or the Halloween outfits were the highlight!). She sends us photos very regularly and from what we see our son seems to really enjoy his day there!
Rahima is also very good at communicating when things need adjustments (food, sleep) which is very helpful.
We would recommend her without a doubt
