Curious Sprouts Childcare
I’m Flora, a mum of 3 and an Ofsted-registered childminder offering a warm, friendly, and flexible home-based setting in Knaresborough. I’m open Monday to Friday, 7.30am – 5.30pm.
I accept all types of funding and can provide care on a term-time only or all year round basis. I also offer ad hoc school holiday and weekend care, aiming to be as flexible as possible to suit your family’s needs.
All fees are fully inclusive — covering nappies, wipes, meals, snacks, outings, and activities.
We spend lots of our mornings out and about exploring parks, soft play centres, nature reserves and local farms — often teaming up with another lovely childminder and her group of little ones for extra fun and social time.
My Experience
I’m a mum to three children aged 14, 8 and 2, with hands-on experience at home as well as previous work as a teaching assistant in a primary school. I’m fully DBS checked, insured, and trained in paediatric first aid including anaphylaxis. I’m confident in all areas of safeguarding and the EYFS, and use this knowledge to create a safe, supportive and engaging environment for the children I look after.
My Qualifications
I have completed the relevant childminding qualifications including safeguarding. I am in the process of completing further modules with childminding UK. I have a paediatric first aid certificate with an added certificate in anaphylaxis awareness. I also have a certificate in food hygiene.
My Availability
Monday to Friday 7.30-8.30, but open to movement on this if needed.
Please enquire for any emergency childcare and I will do my best to accommodate. I am open to requests for weekends, bank holiday or overnight care on occasion. I cannot offer babysitting in your own home due to having children of my own who cannot be left, but can offer childcare within my home.
Ad hoc school holiday care is an option too, for all ages. Hours can suit your needs. We may do trips out such as the farm, beach, park etc. But this will all be discussed before hand.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
Inclusive of morning and afternoon snacks, lunch, nappies, wipes and outings.
