My Summary

My Experience

Having worked as a teaching assistant for sixteen years I know the rewards and challenges that working with children can bring. I started my childcare carer working in a nusery and childminding over 20 years ago.

Since then I have gained valuable experience having worked with all key stages and with pupils with a range of abilities. In my additional jobs, I worked as a 1:1 support worker with a young person who had autism, ODD, ADHD and challenging behaviour. I have also worked with a young person in his family home for over 6 years, he had quadriplegia and a very good sense of humour. I have had training in moving and handling, CPR, tracheostomy care and PEG feeding.

I have many necessary skills to bring to a classroom/workplace, such as good communication skills, planning, risk assessment, record keeping and the ability to think on my feet and solve problems. I also have the patience and a sense of humour, which is also a must when working with children. I have gained a wealth of experience working with children of all ages and abilities.

I have an excellent work ethic which is evident in my attendance, punctuality and a can do attitude.

I have worked as a support worker with the Cedar Foundation for eight years. In this role, I helped children with disabilities develop their confidence and access social programs and be active members of the community in which they live. The duties included; administration of medication, moving and handling and personal care.

I am confident that I can inspire and motivate children to be the best they can be, I have high expectations of all children and I feel that I have many skills to bring.

My Availability

I have a 7 month old happy baby girl and I would need to bring her along Mon to Thurs. I am available to work on Fridays and weekends without my daughter. She is very well behaved and a little pleasure.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
• Nannying from £12.00 per hour (net)

My fees are £12+ per hour
