About Me
My childcare setting is based at Locking Grove Locking Weston Super Mare . I have been a ofsted registered professional childminder for 22 years. I have a family of 6 children and 3 wonderful grandchildren. My life is ,being surrounded with my family and children whether that be my own or someone else's ! My hobbies are scrap booking ,pottery and baking/ cooking. I enjoy writing childrens stories but only for my own personal use at story time . I am a person who likes to be busy and organised . I pride myself on providing a safe loving environment. I work closely with families to ensure each individual child can reach there full potential.
My Experience
I have been a registered childminder for 22 years , my last ofsted went well as i recieved a Good . I have looked after many children and babies as young as 11 days old . We offer flexible hours and promote working closely with parents so your child's care is seamless from your home to ours. our setting is very homely and we want our children to feel comfortable and welcomed and feel its a home from home environment. We always have a very full day from phonics, numbers, colours and shapes to planned activities including arts and crafts , cooking, role play to exciting picnics and lots of outdoor fun and games. Story time with puppets is always the favourite of the day. Our future plan is to create an educational garden , with a sensory path and raised flower beds for herbs and lavender and to grow vegetables . we have a bug hotel and bird table area with a bench to promote a quiet thinking area . we will be putting in a road area for sit and rides with traffic lights and zebra crossing . with a balance area . we already have a play house and swings seesaw climbing frame and slide with basket ball hoops and footie nets. We are very fortunate to be able to work with such wonderful families and I pride myself on the relationships that we have with all our families past and present.
My Qualifications
I HAVE 7 GCSE'S IN ENGLISH LIT AND LANGUAGE, MATHS, SCIENCE ,HUMAN BIOLOGY, CHILDCARE, FOOD AND NUTRITION.

My Availability
MONDAY TO THURSDAY 8:30- 5pm
OCASSIONAL WEEKEND AND OVER NIGHT CARE . OVERNIGHT CARE HAS A BEDROOM WITH BED OR COT AND CARE MONITOR .
I HAVE VACANCIES COMING UP FOR A FULL AND PARTIME SPACE FOR UNDER 5 YEARS OF AGE . I ALSO HAVE 2 SPACES FOR AFTER SCHOOL COLLECTION AT LOCKING PRIMARY SCHOOL.

thank you for your review . as a mum and a child minder i know how important it is to feel you have support from people that are involved in yours and your childrens lives. I want to be more than the carer of your children , i play a vital role in there well being and being part of a special bond means to welcome the family as a whole into our home and give advice and support when or if ever needed .
