About Me
I'm a nanny, teaching assistant and psychology graduate looking for a full-time childcare position from Jan 2025.
I have 6 years experience working in childcare and have always enjoyed working with kids.
I’m a bubbly and reliable individual who enjoys helping children learn about the world through art & craft activities, cooking and exploring outdoors. I love using my psychology knowledge of child development to facilitate learning through play and activities, and watching their characters grow!
My Experience
I have extensive experience with ages 1-14 due to my jobs in various childcare and school settings.
Most recently, I was nannying for an 18 month old in Australia and also helped out in a daycare for children aged 6mths - 5yrs. Before this, I nannied for multiple families in London on a part-time basis (ages ranging 1-13 years), which often involved plenty of trips out and helping with home learning during COVID. This included a family with twins aged 6 (one child with SEND) and a family with girls aged 11 & 13.
I have experience as a teaching assistant in a primary school where I mostly worked with SEND children (e.g. ASD, ADHD, Global Delay) so I am confident caring for children with a range of special needs. I worked with Years 3, 5 and 6 but often moved throughout the school so covered all age groups from nursery up.
Previously I worked as an activity leader for a holiday camp so I’m full of ideas to keep your little ones entertained!
My Qualifications
I have a BSc psychology degree - this involved a lot of child developmental studies so I’m familiar with Montessori & other childcare frameworks.
I also have a DBS certificate.
I can provide childcare references on request.
My Availability
I am available from late January for short-term or long-term positions. I'm open to part & full-time positions but prefer longer days (at least 4 hours).
I am also available on evenings & weekends for ad-hoc babysitting.
