Like Family

Akba provides a wonderful setting for the children she looks after. Our son has been going to Akba’s since he was 1 and she and her family provided the warm, caring environment that we envisioned. Akba truly treats the children in her care as her own and this makes for a rich experience for child and parents alike. We feel we have had an extension of the family by our side.

As a result of Akba’s care we have seen wonderful leaps in our son’s development in all areas and a confidence and sensitivity that is evident when he plays with other children. Akba pays great attention to the individual needs of each child in her approach to literacy and numeracy. She also engages them in weekly play groups and outings that enrich the everyday experience. She has managed beautifully despite all the challenges posed by COVID.

We are truly grateful for all that Akba offers, and most importantly how special and loved she makes our son feel. Her wealth of experience and warm approach has made leaving him each day a little easier. We hope to be able to send our second child to her in the future.

Happy home

We have been sending our little boy to Akba since he was one year old. She has a wealth of experience looking after children which is exactly what we wanted and he is so happy and at home there, it has become like a second family to him. He adores her grown up daughters who also help out and play with him at times.

She has helped his speech develop beyond anything we expected and we regularly get comments from other parents astonished at his level of speech for his age. She has been teaching him numbers, writing and does arts/crafts with him every day alongside regularly getting outside and going on outings (covid allowing).

Most importantly he is happy at Akba's where he is in a family home getting to know children of a mix of ages where he feels loved and is thriving. We look forward to sending our second baby to her once she turns one.

Our daughter has been with Akba since she was 2 years old. She just turned 3. Akba is a caring, compassionate and a very professional childminder. She understood our daughter very well and eased her into her care.

Akba and her family treat her as one of them. Our daughter has learnt good habits, self care and is very confident. She also enjoys the atmosphere shared with other kids.

We strongly recommend Akba if you are looking for someone to mind your child.

An absolute dream!

Akba looks after my daughter three days a week and wonderful. Always friendly and flexible she always goes above and beyond. My daughter has been made to feel welcome by Akba and her whole family and loves her time there just as much (if not more!) than her time at home.

I cannot recommend Akba enough!

Kind and generous

Akbar has been looking after my son for a month now and what I can say about her is that she is kind, generous and very professional. He likes her very much and is very happy there. My son spoke just a few words in English (English is not our first language) at the beginning but she is being very good and teaching him a lot of new words. She always stimulate him to do things. Akba's home is clean and set up for children. I would definitely recommend her to any parent.
