About Me
My name is Alison Garland I live in Calne with my husband Barry, son Ben and dog Stanley who is a Bichon Shih tzu cross.
Barry is retired and is my assistant when needed.
Ben works for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Service.
I have been a Childminder since November 2005.
I am Ofsted Registered. My recent Ofsted Report was "Good."
I have an up-to-date first aid certificate.
I am have my NVQ Level 3 in Childcare.
I also have other relevant training linked to childcare.
I keep up to date with training in the childcare industry.
As a Childminder, I do lots of activities with children like painting,reading, music time, and crafts. We also have free play. We enjoy going to the local park,Roves Farm,Lydiard Park, or Bowood.
I live on the south side of Calne, and we are surrounded by lovely walks. We have fields at the bottom of our road and the canal is just around the corner.The children love taking Stanley for a walk.
I have a garden which we spend a lot of time in weather permitting
I belong to Little Acorns Childminding
group, which is on every other Thursday morning. This gives all the children a chance to get to play together and do
activities together.
I do school drop-offs and pick-ups from Priestley Primary School and Marden Vale Primary Schools Calne
I take all the types of Free Funding from Wiltshire Council.
Also the Government Tax Free Childcare.

We been using Alison for 3 years now, our 7 year old currently goes after school, we picked Alison due to her home from home feel, and how she is with the children, our daughter loves going and will ask daily if it her day to go to Alison's. She always comes home happy telling me what she has done whilst there. Having a child with SEN needs it's always important to find someone who understands them and their needs and Alison does just that she knows how to support when it is needed and keeps us updated on anything that we need to know.

This is the first time I have had to use any childminding services and Alyson talked me through every step and reassured me all the way. Alyson has looked after my child from 9 months old and has done a excellent job in providing a home from home experience. Alyson is highly experienced, trusting and caring and provides many activities for children of all ages. I would definitely recommend Alyson as a child minder to anyone looking for child care.

We were after a childminder for our young son while we were at work and could not have been happier with how he was looked after by Alyson. He enjoyed a variety of activities in a safe and stimulating environment and it was reassuring to know how well he was being looked after. Highly recommended!

My son is currently looked after by Alyson 3 days a week. He has settled in well and I have found Alyson to be very caring and kind. I feel happy knowing he is being very well cared for whilst I am at work.

The biggest decision for your child is choosing someone who you trust to look after them, with Alyson we certainly found that. My daughter has been in alysons care for 6 years and very much looks forward to the days that Alyson looks after her and collects her from school. Alyson is highly experienced, trusting and caring and provides many activities for children of all ages. I would definitely recommend Alyson as a child minder to anyone looking for child care.

Being a single working parent of two children I have had to obtain the services of a childminder for the past five years plus. My children have had to change childcare due to working structure changing Alyson garland being the current one. My children love going to Alyson and have never been happier with a childminder. I work to make ends meet and childcare is a necessity, but it makes working so much easier knowing my children are well cared for and looked after in my absence.
