My name is Katie Bodenham, aged 37, and I work from my 3 bed house with my soon to be husband. We live on Dacre Park, with our 2 little ones, our cats and guinea pigs. Situated very close to Blackheath, about 5/10 minutes walk from the station. We have an assistant and a cleaner who help us to ensure the children are getting the best from their time here.
My Experience
I have an NVQ3 in childcare and about 18 years professional childcare experience within schools and nurseries. I nannied for about 7 years after leaving nurseries both privately and for agencies then opened my childminding business about 6 years ago now.
My Qualifications
I studied for a NVQ3 Childcare while working in nurseries and have been on many child development courses plus am very familiar with the EYFS due to my professional background.
My Availability
We are open weekdays with a standard day of 8am - 6pm but also the option of early starts and late finishes. We offer AM, PM, Full day or before/after school session (wrap around). We can also provide both term-time or holiday only contracts. Outside of open hours I offer a babysitting service too.
Currently we have spaces from birth to 5 full time or part time as well as places before and after school for children attending St Margaret’s primary school or The Village Montessori.

Katie and Ben’s setting is really lovely, with a garden and a local park close by, which allows for a lot of outdoor play. Our daughter started there when she was 2 years old, transitioning from a nursery environment. Katie was great at making her feel at ease and helping her to settle-in very quickly. All the staff is also very caring and warm, she certainly bounded with her key worker Sarah, always looking forward to seeing her. The environment at SnuggleBugs was a lot calmer for our young toddler and it helped her focus more and grow in confidence with learning through play activities. Our little one always has a lot of fun there, and loves talking about all the things she did during the day. From a parent perspective, it was also great to be able to create closer relationship with the team at the setting, as staff turnover was not an issue like it could be in nurseries. Would definitely recommend.

My child spent 2 years with snuggle bugs and I honestly believe it was one of our best decisions to choose this setting for her.
My shy , socially anxious child opened up so much and made some true friends here. Katie really went above and beyond to help her gaining confidence.
Such a home like, kind and caring atmosphere and it`s still professional.
I can nothing but recommend it.

Katie’s SnuggleBugs childcare met all our expectations and more (and we were very rigorous with our questions and standards). We found her childcare setting to be warm and caring, with lots of stimulation and different activities. The communication was also excellent. We moved house, but would still use Snugglebugs in a heartbeat if we were in the area
