Private Nanny - Special needs experience
I nannied for a lovely family 3 days a week between August 2020 - November 2021 (when I was unfortunately made redundant)
I looked after the little girl in the family’s home. I provided care that contributed to a safe, caring, nurturing, and stimulating environment. We enjoyed little outings to the park and attended toddler/music groups.
I happily helped with household tasks: cleaning, cooking, housekeeping, laundry and ensuring the play area and bedroom was neat and tidy.

I was part of a large team in a purpose built, integrated children’s nursery. Brue Farm Day Nursery is an OFSTED outstanding Nursery. The nursery provides quality country care in a rural environment which I was very proud to be a part of. I was able to adapt myself to the needs of the nursery, staff, children and their parents/carers and enjoyed the change of pace throughout the day to where I was needed.
An imperative part of my role was liaising with parents on a daily basis which I think has really helped to develop my ‘skills people skills’ and become a good listener. I also hosted individual developmental reviews when required. Part of my duties were to observe, assess and record children's development within the guidance of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework and from there develop ways to extend individual children’s learning and development. It was easy to me to maintain regular documentation for each of the children in my care.
I was responsible for ensuring that the premises were in a clean, tidy and safe condition at all times, having regard for Health and Safety regulations.
My role required for me to be involved in providing guidance and training for new colleagues or students.
I have attended an OFSTED workshop and a Mathematics/Outdoor workshop. I am also trained in STC, First Aid and children’s yoga.

Liaising with parents/carers daily as well as hosting developmental reviews with them when required/termly parents evening.

My Availability

My availability varies over the weekends when my 7 year old son is at his daddy’s - I know in advance when I’m free.

• Nannying from £13.00 per hour (gross)
