About Me
I have been a Registered Childminder since 2003, graded Outstanding by OFSTED 4 times ; in Jan 2008 , Oct 2011, Dec 2015 and again in January 2020. I am registered by Plymouth City Council to offer funded childcare places to all Early Years age groups. I currently look after children between the ages of 11 months and 4 yrs , all of whom have been with me since they were babies. I have plenty of indoor and outdoor space for the children to play in, we enjoy a lot of exploratory and sensory play and we make full use of our season tickets for Paignton Zoo, Pennywell Farm, National Trust, English Heritage and the aquarium. We love being outdoors and regularly visit Saltram, Cann Woods, Plymbridge and other local areas. In poorer weather we visit toddler groups etc when they are open. I follow the EYFS as required by Ofsted and observe the children in their play and plan accordingly to help them achieve, always taking their interests into account. I am happily married with adult children and a 6 yr old grandson.
My Experience
I have been a mum for 34 years and worked in Pre-schools for 4 years before starting Childminding in 2003.
I have many years experience in caring for babies and specialise in the Under 3’s. I have cared for all my mindees since they were very young.
My mindees parents are happy to provide references if required.

NVQ 2 in Early Years Care and Education
NVQ 3 in Early Years Care and Education
Paediatric First Aid
Countless other course in Child development and Safeguarding
All family members CRB checked

Mon - Thurs 7.30am - 5.00pm but I can be flexible and will do my best to accommodate unusual hours.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
£6 per hour outside of funded hours.
Term-time only contract can be discussed.
I am registered with Plymouth City Council Early Years Dept to offer funding to all Early Years age groups ( 15 and 30 hours childcare ).

Sandra cared for both of my daughters from age 9 months to 4 years and I can't praise her enough.
She was recommended to me by another childminder who didn't have capacity at the time.
Both of my daughters really enjoyed their time with her and were sad to leave, and really thrived within her care.
Sandra is really warm and friendly whilst remaining professional. She builds fantastic relationships with the children and offers varied activities both within and out of the home environment.
Her home is well suited to childminding with a big garden and separate room which she uses for the childminding. The home is clean and safe and a stimulating environment.
The girls would always bring home detailed journals and things they had made, and when they left they each had beautiful folders full of photos and their achievements which both demonstrated Sandra's commitment to meeting their early years goals and acted as a lovely keepsake.
Sandra was always as flexible as she could be to meet our family's needs, and I felt very confident that my children were safe and happy in her care.
The only reason I've given 3 stars for food is that Sandra doesn't provide meals due to each child having varying requirements, but does offer a range of nutritious snacks and was happy to cook / heat up the meals we provided.
Would highly recommend.
