About Me

I have run my own home for over 25 years; I was an Army Officer's wife for 15 years and all that brings with it! Flexibility, adaptability, resilience and self reliance. I am caring, empathetic, reliable and very well organised, paying attention to detail - I used to organise our house moves at very short notice (2 weeks in one instance!). I'm efficient, I have a 'can do' attitude and can turn my hand to most things: from parties for up to 30/40 guests including the catering to organising the logistics of childrens' after school activities. I have brought up 2 boys on my own for the last 16years - one read History at Manchester and is now training to be a Royal Marine and the younger one is doing engineering with the RAF. I was lucky enough to be able to stay at home with them until the youngest started school so I have lots of experience of providing a stimulating environment for younger children, developing their skills and helping them achieve.

I can cook and I love baking - I actually worked as a chef for a couple of years. I can also sew; household items and clothing. My personal interests include books and reading, music, theatre, walking, travelling and I've recently discovered gardening, albeit in an amateur way! I can speak a small amount of German - I lived there for four years and a small amount of French.

I’ve recently been furloughed so I find myself with a lot of time on my hands and I’d be very happy to help with home schooling, either during the day or to help with homework etc in the evening.
