I have almost 10 years of experience in various childcare settings. Most recently I looked after a 5 & 7 year old for almost a year and prior to that a 3 & 8 year old. I can provide references and have an up to date DBS check. I am a caring, reliable and hard working individual.
My Experience
I have almost 10 years childcare experience, as well as general babysitting I have developed my childcare skills in many ways. Most recently I have nannied for two lovely families, meal planning & cooking for the whole week and organising educational self lead learning activities in lockdown and supporting school learning. I spent my 2017 summer working at an American summer camp with children aged 7-17, including those with special needs. I specialised in teaching outdoor cooking here, but my job covered all aspects of childcare. As a result of both that and attending Leith's cookery school, I am a very competent cook and really value teaching children to have a sustainable and positive relationship with food. I am also did work experience at a Montessori working with kids aged 3-6 in 2014, which was extremely rewarding and provided me with experience in this type of learning. I also volunteered at my local brownies group for just over 3 years working with girls aged 7-11.
