About Me
Hi There, I’m an Ofsted Registered (rated Good) Childminder based a 7 minute walk from Crosshall School. Mother to a 9 and 11 year old, I have a friendly home with a playroom, dining room and lounge (with pop-up tents), large garden with a mini-mud kitchen, bikes, cars, scooters and ride-ons. My children love dressing up so have many outfits too! My family have been based in St. Neots for 10 years, previously moving up from London. We have a home-from-home approach and my children love playing with our mindees!
Until July 2017 I had worked for over 18 years in London managing housing for a University. I worked closely with Hall Managers, Health, Funding and Advice teams in the Student Centre providing advice and care to students of all ages. I took the plunge and changed career to spend more time with my children and to do something that I’ve always loved - teaching and creative craft/messy play and being around kids - no day is the same and we have fun going to playgroups, walking to the park and we love books, reading daily. I follow the EYFS and am a member of PACEY. I am a firm believer in self-development, partake in weekly webinars from Childcare.co.uk and attend the Childminder Conference every other year to develop my skills. I’m also a member of the PTA for Crosshall Junior School.
Over a 5-year period my husband and I have had four childminders and with working long hours and commuting, it is fair to say that I’ve a good understanding of full-time working parents and I’m in an interesting position now that I’m a Childminder. I’m very much into working with parents to offer the care they require, have good, educational fun to stimulate the children (and cuddles if they need them) and I provide food and am flexible/ have longer opening hours to fit in with busy lives!
We also have two friendly young cats called Roxy and Draco who love playing with the children. My husband is a Management Accountant and has had contracts with the police, government and locally. He is also a Parent Governor for Crosshall Junior School.

For All day children I have a minimum of 5 hours a day. For wrap-around care, I have a minimum of three hours a day care (one hour am and two pm or three pm) and a minimum booking of two days as it helps with settling in and wellbeing of the child.
I have been approved by Ofsted to have children overnight, but this would not be on a regular basis. My setting is open from 7am-6.30pm. I usually have children from age 1yr+. I provide wrap-around school care Mondays to Fridays.
I have different rates for pre-school whole day and school age children and I am on the DBS update register. I’ve had my first Ofsted Inspection and was given a ‘Good’ rating. My report can be viewed on the Ofsted Reports website.

Please contact me directly to discuss fees. Breakfast and snacks included. Lunch and evening meal at an extra cost if required. Fees increase annually from January.
