About Me
Hello, I'm Nicole, and I am the owner of The Pines Childcare, an Ofsted Registered Childminder.
The children at The Pines have access to the ground floor of my detached home in Rubery as well as use of the garden for outdoor activities.
The Pines offers a large play room as well as an activities room with a dining table and chairs which doubles as room for meal times and a space for more focused table-top activities.
Outside the front of my home, there is a small playground which the children will have access to regularly.
I use the Baby's Day's EYFS Management System to ensure you have the best possible experience and your child develops in the best possible way! You as the parent/carer will have access via the internet or mobile app to follow your child's next steps, development, our policies and procedures and so much more!

My Experience
I have worked with children for over ten years and am as passionate now as I was when I started as an apprentice. Over the years I have developed my practice by adopting the best possible ideas from the numerous nurseries I have worked in and now feel I am ready to work independently.
My childcare journey started ten years ago as an apprentice in a Nursery, following this I worked in two other nurseries and worked through the company to a senior level role.
Upon having my second child however I realised how quick paced nurseries can be particularly for younger children. I therefore decided it was time to develop my childcare career into my own business.
As a childminder, I am able to offer more one-to-one support to your child to enable their development and also to build a positive relationship with them. I plan activities at The Pines based on children’s interests and their Next Steps in order to make their learning fun and ensure they are fully engaged in activities.

I cant recommend Nicole enough for anyone who is looking for a childminder. Our little girl is so happy in Nicole's setting and she has developed so well.
I instantly felt happy when we first visited Nicole's setting, she is very kind and thoughtful and it shows that she takes great pride in what she does.
Nicole always offers good advice for any hurdles you come across with your little one and she is very approachable.
I love the updates through baby days where you can see all the fun, varied and educational activities your little one is involved in, she is very creative and our little girl always looks like she's having lots of fun.
I am very happy and always reassured when I leave my daughter with Nicole.

My daughter has come on leaps and bounds since starting with Nicole, she does so much fun, messy and educational activities every single day which my daughter loves, and I love getting them sent home for my fridge. I get pictures and updates throughout the whole time she is there (3 days per week) and feel very comfortable in messaging Nicole for an update without feeling like I’m annoying her! Would definitely recommend anyone who wants a lovely, kind, thoughtful and caring childminder.

My daughter joined The Pines at 9months old and instantly became welcomed in to a warm, safe and fun environment.
Each day that my daughter attends The Pines, she is excited and chatty about about whom she is going to play with, this brings such reassurance knowing she feels happy and secure.
Nicole provides new and exciting , child focused activities which enable children to develop and become confident to meet their next steps in development.
Nicole takes great pride in creating Learning journeys to a high standard and photos, observations and wow moments are collated to support her assessment. We are able to see this folder when ever we desire and Nicole will happily go through Early years Foundation stage and discuss how we will encourage and support next steps.
So happy we chose The Pines as our child care provider and been so lucky to have Nicole looking after out daughter.
In my eyes this child care provider is Totally outstanding .

My daughter has come on leaps and bounds since being with Nicole. She loves going and the regular updates on her day is fantastic. I can leave her without any worries. She now crawls, claps and babbles a lot more and learned so many new things. So much so that my daughter now goes two days a week. I would without any hesitation recommend her. Just fantastic!
