About Me
Hi my name is Ashleigh, I am 29 years old and I am passionate about Childcare. I hold a Level 3 in Childcare and Education and I have worked in childcare for over 10 years. I have recently started Maternity Leave and I am a first time mother to a little girl, and I am currently looking to support a family with afterschool pick ups and afterschool care. I will have my little one with me, however her father can always collect her once he finishes work at 4.
I love to go on walks, swimming, gymnastics and giving children a range of opportunities for learning and exploring!
During my time nannying we went on lots of days out, taken trips to the library, soft plays, forest school and gymboree. My ethos is to give each child every opportunity possible to let them build a wide range of skills and explore new things everyday!
In my spare time I am enjoying being a new mum and spending time with my little one. We love to go out and explore and also I love to hang out with friends and my family and I am a very family oriented person!
My Experience
I worked as a Nanny between July 2023-December 2023. I built relationships with these families at a previous setting I worked at and they asked me to become their Nanny. I have built a good professional relationship. References from these parents are available. I am still in contact with both families and we have a good relationship to date.
I have done a lot of babysitting over my 10 years in childcare, including some school pick ups and helping with homework and evenings, dinner, bathing and getting the children ready for bed.
I have worked at a few different nurseries over the last 10 years and it has helped me gain a lot of experience in working with babies, toddlers and pre-school aged children. Using routines, making feeds, changing nappies, weaning and potty training, teaching children how to build, count and also be an individual and be their unique self! I also did many other things during my time at nurseries, for example using an online app service called tapestry to update and use as an online observation system, linking to the Early Years Foundation Stage. I have experience with children age 0-5. I have had groups of key children and help keep parents up to date on the their children’s development and well-being.
I obtain a clear DBS, have up-to-date safeguarding training, paediatric first aid and am a vehicle owner with a valid drivers licence.
