About Me
Hi my name is Kirsty and I’m a married mum of two. My husbands name is Jay and although has his own business, is registered as an assistant for any emergencies etc if at home. He has undertaken safeguarding courses and a paediatric first aid course too.
Our son is 18 and our daughter is 11
I have experience with children with special needs and extra support, attention and care.
We have 1 cat in the house.
We have 2 Frenchies that are really good with the children.
I do also drive.
I will provide children with home from Home care and experiences whilst educating along the way. We have excess toys in our playroom which are used to constantly rotate toys that we have in living area in large side board and extras including prams, kitchen, small world table, crafts, cars, books etc. We go to the toy library fortnightly and swap toys too with the children helping to decide what to play!
I also enjoy taking the children out places, we spend lots of time visiting different places and building on life experiences.
I am friendly, trustworthy and approachable and hope that you will feel at ease with myself and my setting.
I work very closely with other great childminders and very often group together so that children get the chance for large group interaction as well. This is also great as there is more than one of us overseeing the children. We are a close knit group and We all know each other’s minded children and the children also are familiar with our group of childminders.
I have a new qualified assistant starting part time with me in September. Her name is Naomi and has worked in private and hospital nurseries for over 17 years + and has a vast knowledge of children, EYFS and safeguarding. She is also a mum to a child herself. She will be a great asset and support to my setting and has taken lots of new courses ready for her new role.
My Experience
I have many years of experience looking after our own children. I’ve been a mum to my own children for over 18 years. I also have a step son who is 24 and was a part of his life before being a mum myself. My eldest is blind so I have always been a hands on mum and he has kept me on my toes since day one! It’s helped me overcome challenges not just as a parent but as a carer too. I have had lots of time being around family and friends children, including twins and triplets.
I am able to give references from other parents.
My Qualifications
I have my level 3 for childminding.
I have a distinction in Health and social care.
I have diploma in accountancy.
Amongst many other relevant qualifications for being a minder.
I have my valid first aid certificate, along with my husband and so has my assistant.
I am always undertaking more qualifications to constantly keep me progressing as a childminder and being the best possible in all aspects of care for all children, please ask for my folder to show you these.

Happy to do,Thursday Friday term time then flip to Monday,Tuesday, in the holidays if that works for anyone.

My Fees

I always try to be fair and offer the best fit to your needs. Please contact me for a price regarding shift patterns also.
I charge extra for planned day trips out ie farms, swimming, trampolining, indoor play centres, museums,cinema etc
This is mostly during school holiday time.
(parents will be informed in advance and for discussion - extras will be invoiced at the end of the week)
( toddler groups will not be charged for )

My daughter has just starting going with Kirsty and she is fantastic my daughter loves going and sometimes doesn’t want to leave, my daughter has formed a good bond with Kirsty and also her daughter, I would recommend anyone to Kirsty, it’s hard has a parent to leave your kid but I felt good an confident about leaving my daughter with Kirsty.
