About Us

At the Early Learning Camp we know that each and every parent wants and seeks the very best for their children. Without exception, your child’s happiness, personal development and welfare matters to you more than anything else.
When you bring your child to us at The Early Learning Camp we understand and respect the trust you are placing in us and the responsibility we are accepting for your child whilst they are in our care.
The Early Learning Camp has been established to set new levels of engagement and care for every child. Please give us a call and arrange to drop by and see us and we will show you how your child’s time with us will help equip them for a better future.

Our vision is centred around an American philosophy of family values, education, outdoor life and team building. It is this camp style approach that makes us unique.
We believe that a great start from an early age is vital for a great education and a successful adult life.
We have chosen a site that has ample space around it; the site is safe and secure so children are not at risk but rather than look at walls and concentrate in the main on indoor activity we would like them to be outside in our forest school area and wanting to do something different and get involved in all that is free to enjoy from nature.

Nature forms a big part of our brand and mission. Research has proven that children are stimulated by the outdoors and over time this sees an increase in their self-belief, confidence, learning capacity, enthusiasm, communication, problem solving skills and emotional well-being. This forms a big part of our ethos as we strive to help children to learn more about the environment and the part we all play in it. Our aim is to help the children experience the natural world for themselves and to learn vital life skills that will help them prepare for their future lives.

At The Early Learning Camp we are trying to do things differently. We have a unique vision for our setting and offer a journey for children which will offer alternative ways to learn, grow and develop by hands on experiences.

Our nursery occupies a large site that we are constantly developing and expanding to offer even more experiences to the children.

We have successfully been awarded ‘Millie’s Mark’, a Quality Mark for nurseries where are
employees working directly with children are trained in paediatric first aid. This has been
awarded by National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) in association with Department for
Education and Millie’s Trust.

Many of you will be aware that over the past 6 months we have been working hard to achieve
this award, which acts as an indicator that we go above and beyond the minimum requirements
to keep children safe and minimise risks and accidents. We are delighted that our efforts have
been rewarded and that we have achieved this very special award.

Achieving Millie’s Mark is very special to us and although we are now an official Millie’s Mark awarded nursery our hard work of continuously developing our quality care and education will not stop. It is crucial that we maintain the criteria over its three years lifespan before re-assessment.

Opening hours are from 7.30am to 6.00 pm Monday to Friday - 51 weeks of the year.
We are closed only on bank holidays and for one week between Christmas and the New Year.
