About Me
Hi, My name is Rebecca and i am a ofsted registered childminder. I Iive with my husband Colin and our daughter who is 20 years old. I have childminded since she was 6 months old and i love working with children. When i left school i went to college and trained to be a nanny doing my city and guilds 331 family and community care course. i finished my two year course and went off to be a nanny for several families gaining lots of experience.
We live in a large 4 bed semi detached house with a large playroom leading into a large fenced off garden with recently put down artificial grass so we can explore all year round also plenty of toys inside and out. Also a greenhouse and planters so we can do a bit of gardening.
The children also have their own downstairs toilet facilities. I also have a quiet room for the children to sleep in.
The children gain lots of experiences with me and we have lots of fun, playing and going out and about with other childminders and their children.
When the children are in my care we go to toddlers groups, visits to the local parks, beaches, farms. we also enjoy visiting the libraries, museums. I also bake with the children and we get stuck in to craft ideas too.
As a childcare provider i have to follow the EYFS guidlines, all children have a learning journey file where i put in observations and photos of what your child is doing, track the next steps. You will also receive a copy of my planning sheet every three months so you know what is going to happen. I am open to ideas from you as a parent as to your child's likes and dislikes.
I have a seven seater car so we can visit places a bit further a field.

My Experience
As i said i have trained at Lancaster and Morecambe college as a nanny when i left school. I also have lots of experince with children which i have picked up on over the years being a nanny and also a mother to my daughter.
When i started childminding i did some work shops to cover first aid, safeguarding, etc
I go to lots of meetings run by LCC who makes sure that i have all the relevant training needed.
I keep up to date with my training First Aid every three years, Safeguarding every two and three years ( level 1 and 2)
I am part of the Bay childminding network and became a community childminder to look after children with special needs.

My Fees
