My Requirements

We are family of 4 located in West London (Chiswick) interested on a Live-In (Au Pair or Junior Nanny) from 1st April 2025, with valid driving license and on-the-road-experience. Extra delight if Spanish-speaking, but not a hard requirement (we are originally from South America, yet been in the UK for over 15 years, so would like to incentivise the girls to speak Spanish at home). We have two very lovely and sweet girls, Miranda (11) and Maxima (6), so will be looking for someone for school drop-offs and pick-ups, and then help them focus on their daily shores and activities, including cooking, feeding and bathing. We have been working with a lovely nanny for over 2 years now, but given her circumstances of moving abroad, we are now in the need of a new person.

In terms of hours, we will be looking for a standard 30 hours per week ~5-6 hours per day and the occasional weekend and weekday-night watch (this could get up to 35 if a particular event happen during the week). We will be able to offer £11/hour gross (which will be ~1,500-1,700/month). Not only we will be offering the warmth of a happy family, but a number of great living standards, since we live in a townhouse, on a new development so can offer a very spacious King-Size Bedroom with On-suite bathroom, adjacent to one of the girls’ bedrooms. House is located minutes’ walk from Chiswick High Street and next to Chiswick House and Gardens (Park), for sure two of the best of their kind in London. Grocery needs are covered. As a family we are avid readers, love activities (weekends are full with Tennis, Chess, Golf, Swimming and Art Lessons) and dining out.

A normal day would basically consist on:
• Ready the girls (help with dress and light breakfast) and drive them to school to enter at 8:30am. Drive back home
• Time for yourself - Morning and early afternoon
• Arrange dinner for girls ~4:00pm
• Drive and pick up the girls at 4:30pm
• Arrange for them to shower, work on assignments/homework, have dinner and set them to bed by 7:30pm
• Time for yourself - evening
• Once a week/biweekly my husband and I might go out for dinner/cinema so looking after the girls will be needed (expected minimal work since they go to bed early and stay until next day). Occasional weekend support.

In terms of rules of Engagement and Expectations
• We value positive attitude and sense of humour, would love for the girls to enjoy sharing the time with you, while at the same time they feel authority and respect
• Personal Hygiene, organisation and tidiness is paramount
• We expect at least 75% of the paid vacations to be taken at the same time as we do (we take at least 5 weeks off per year, likely to travel abroad). For the remaining, we would like to have at least 1 month notice to be able to organise internally.
• For some trips we might love to have you joining us, for similar number of hours. We would of course cover travel expenses
• We aim for a balanced/healthy and varied food for the girls, yet non-complex and easy to prepare recipes.
• Albeit deep cleaning of the house is not part of the responsibilities, we expect to keep the areas tidy and light clean/ organise after food and playing.
• We don’t expect a formal tutoring when it comes to homework and school assignment but to help them with school assignments (i.e., do spelling check, check she knows what is the task and help her set up to work on those)
