About Me

I am a level three qualified, Ofsted registered childminder who has received an 'Outstanding ' grade on my last two inspections.I hold a current and relevant paediatric first aid and safeguarding qualification. I work to constantly update my knowledge of childcare and attend numerous courses on a regular basis. I am confident to work with children who have additional needs and have plenty of experience in this area.
I live on the Warndon Villages with my husband and our little dog Daisy and I have two grown up children.
I offer funding for both two and three year old children for up to both fifteen and thirty hours in an environment created to enhance your child's learning experience through play.
I provide affordable childcare and am registered for tax credit claims and both government tax free childcare and any work based voucher scheme.
I believe that every child is unique and is a competent learner from birth, and can be resilient,capable,confident and self-assured.I am committed to developing a positive relationship with both yourselves and your child so that your children in my care learn to be strong and independent from a base of loving and secure relationships with all of us. I aim to provide an enabling environment for all the children which plays a key role in supporting and extending children's development and learning. I believe that children learn in different ways and at different rates, and that all areas of learning and development are equally important and inter-connected.
I have a wide range of resources for all ages both indoors and outside.
I encourage children to get messy, be creative, develop their imagination and above all learn through play in a warm cosy and loving home environment.
I am , however, more than happy to work in partnership with a Pre-school or nursery for the older child.
I feel that it is important for children to explore and investigate the world we live in. We regularly visit other childminders and have "drop in" groups at each other's homes. We attend gym club and song group every week.
We undertake many outings such as trips on the steam railway , frequent exploration of NationalTrust adventure trails , bus rides, farm park trips and visits to local shops. We especially enjoy our "Bear Hunts" in different woods and country parks in the deepest, darkest, muddiest parts.
Parents and other family members are most welcome to join us on any of these trips.
