About Me
Hi. My name is Jackie. I have been an Ofsted registered Childminder since 2006. I am from the Wensley Fold area of Blackburn, Lancashire which is very close to Blackburn town centre, College and University, and lots of primary school & nurseries.
I live with my husband Craig. We have 4 grown up children all of who now live successful independent lives.
Every day children in my care experience sensory and creative activities which include painting, glueing and sticking, stickers, colouring, sand play, water play and baking which is adapted to each child's individual needs as well as storytimes, singing and dancing. I also have lots of learning resources including jigsaws, books, games, VTechs and other electronic toys, games and a tablet. We visit local parks, library and playgroups regularly which children thoroughly enjoy and this enables them to make friends with other children, which promotes their speech, language and social skills. We have outings by rail or car, visiting Zoos, farms different parks etc. My home has an outside play area which has trikes and scooters to ride on and lots of outdoor toys.
The local area has a great park with ducks, rabbits, guinea pigs, lots of caged (protrcted) birds and a stable with ponies in as well as playgrouds with climbing, swinging, jumping and spinning activities to run around and play with.
My Experience
I have been registered since 2006 and have a great deal of experience working with the EYFS Framework for little ones under 5 years old.
Aswel as my own children, I have looked after babies from 4 weeks old, until leaving Primary school.
I have experience of caring for children with different disabilities.

I do a weekly webinar training sessions in the evenings to keep up to date with the EYFS and share ideas with other practitioners.
All my certificates, including my registration & police checks are available to view from our initial visit and throughout.
My Availability
I have vacancies for before and after school, early years children throughout the day and school holiday care.
I am usually open from 8am -6pm, taking children to and picking up from local schools and nurseries aswel as looking after full time and part time children.

Would definitely recommend Jackie as a childminder, my children love going to Jackies, she spends a lot of quality time with the children doing arts and crafts boats games ect.
Great childminder would defo recommend for anyone looking for childcare.

Jackie, has looked after my son for over 9 years now and I absolutely wouldn’t have it any other way! Jackie gives a high standard of care and goes above and beyond her normal duties. Jackie creates a safe, fun and educational environment for my son and he adores her. During the school holidays she takes him on trips, picnics, they visit museums and she plans lots of activies for their time together. Jackie has become a part of our family and I can’t thank her enough for her service. Definitely a 5* childminder.
