My Experience

I have worked in the Childcare industry for over 33 years, 20+ years (2003+) as a Maternity Nurse with allergies, reflux, circumcision care, twins and triplets and previously for 13 years (1990-2002) as a sole charge live in Nanny caring for newborns & their toddler siblings, caring for babies with allergies, reflux and physical differences doing physio and specialised care.
I undertake the usual milk equipment cleaning, making and giving feeds, giving medications, doing babies laundry, making sure Mum has all she needs to be able to relax whilst she feeds baby, helping Mum with medical appointments, taking baby alone to appointments and acting as a Proxy Parent. Taking baby on walks and to collect daily shopping / siblings to/from nursery/school. I have even walked the dog and taken a pet to the vets/groomer.
I continue to extend and update my knowledge base. I have undertaken accredited exams with certificates covering:
• Reflux & CMPA & Early Allergies
• Sleep Training & Sleep in Children
• Breastfeeding
• Post Natal Depression
• Multiples & Premature Babies

I have also continued to extend and refresh my knowledge base on non accredited learning days covering:
• Maternal Complications
• Circumcision Care
• Reflux and CMPA Cows Milk Protein Allergy (post exam refresher)

I encourage sibling involvement with the new baby, and work on a predictable flexible routine that is bespoke to the family.
I have travelled with the families in the UK and overseas and had bookings of a few days to over 6 months duration.

I have worked in many different family situations, like same sex and single parents.

My Fees

• Maternity Nursing from £18.00 per hour (gross)

The fees stated are a guide for 1 newborn with standard care:

£20+ an hour providing care, minimum 10 hours per session, minimum 3 sessions per week, a bed may be required, parking and food is to be provided.

£330+ for 24 hour live in care & support for both mother and baby, a 3 hour daytime break, 1 hour evening break, a bed, parking and food is to be provided.

£350+ for 24 hour Proxy Parenting for babies and young children, a bed, parking and food is to be provided.

Personalised packages can be created.

All support packages begin with an initial consultation, prior to this initial consultation I would, were it is possible ask for a 48 hour diary to be completed and sent to me, this diary would detail:
• Feeding - type, timings, baby's reactions
• Sleep - where, how, frequency, duration
• Nappies - frequency wet / poo, colour & consistancy, nappy rash
• Baby's mood - grumpy, very upset / loud, hard to wake, clingy
• How baby is comforted - dummy, rocking, sound, light
• What upsets him - noises, his body
• Health concerns
• Family - partner, single, siblings, extended family
• Any past & present medical treatment
This can be done in a baby app like Baby Tracker or written out and sent in a whatsapp message.

The initial consultation is 90 minutes & is £150. In the initial consultation we will:
• Discuss the birth (if req'd)
• Go over the weeks since the birth (if req'd)
• Go over the 48 hour diary
• Discuss your concerns about your baby
• Form a plan to improve family life
• Discuss strategies for those rough days
• Knowledge to deal with medical concerns
• When and who to seek medical help from

After the initial consultation, you can purchase the relevant support package:

Virtual Baby Support Packages for up to 4 month olds:

£250 for a 7 day package includes:
• 24 Hour routine guide we will adapt as needed
• Five 30 minute video sessions at an arranged time, typically days 1, 2, 4, 6, 7
• Between 8.30am-10.30pm whatsapp messages will be answered within 4 hours
• Between 10.31pm - 8.29am a whatsapp response will be made when possible
• An extra 30 minute video session is £25

£400 for a 14 day support package:
• 24 Hour routine guide we will adapt as needed
• Eight 30 minute agreed video sessions at an arranged time, typically days 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14
• Between 8.30am-10.30pm whatsapp messages will be answered within 4 hours
• Between 10.31pm - 8.29am a whatsapp response will be made when possible
• An extra 30 minute video session is £25

£600 for a 28 day support package
• 24 Hour routine guide we will adapt as needed
• Twelve 30 minute agreed video sessions at an arranged time typically days 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 13, 16, 19, 21, 24, 28
• Between 8.30am-10.30pm whatsapp messages will be answered within 4 hours
• Between 10.31pm - 8.29am a whatsapp response will be made when possible
• An extra 30 minute video session is £25

£100 for a 60 minute consultation after a package has ended:
• Ideal after a holiday or illness
• Offer advice to get you all back on track
• To adjust the previous plan

Virtual Sleep Support Packages, for babies over 4 months old:

During the initial consultation we will:
• Go over the 48 hour diary
• Discuss your concerns about your baby
• Discuss Sleep Training techniques
• Choose the right technique for your family
• Formulate a Sleep Action Plan
• Learn how to get your baby to settle to sleep unaided with minimal crying
• Discuss strategies for those rough nights, tag teaming and seeing the plan through

After the initial consultation, you can purchase the relevant support package:

£250 for a 7 day package includes:
• Sleep plan we will adapt as needed
• Between 8.30am-10.30pm whatsapp messages will be answered within 4 hours
• Between 10.31pm - 8.29am a whatsapp response will be made when possible.
• Five 30 minute video sessions, typically on days 1, 2, 4, 6, 7
• An extra 30 minute video session is £25

£400 for a 14 day package includes:
• Sleep plan we will adapt as needed
