My Summary
About Me
Childcare has been my career for over 20 years and I am now looking for an new position either full or part time, ad hoc or temp hours where my little girl (5 years who I am home-educating) and boy (3 years), could join me. I have recently relocated from London and am interested in any kind of position. I love doing lots of activities with the children I look after, day trips and messy play etc. I also love to bake and cook homemade meals. As some examples of what we get up to, we do an outdoor playgroup on Mondays as well as an outdoor club(after school) at the orchard learning about growing etc, we swim, we go to art classes and museums and we attend story/song groups. We also treat ourselves to soft play every now and then, and I'd love to find a position much like my share back in London where the children benefitted from spending the time together and enjoying outings as a group. I currently work one day a week in a nursery setting with children in the infant room right up to preschool. Should also mention I do not drive and rely on public transport to get around.
My Experience
Mummy/Nanny.
I have almost 20 years childcare experience within nursery settings and as a Nanny. With childcare qualifications (which I continue to develop), have done first aid, and worked with children up to age 11. I have experience in weaning and potty training. Previous to my maternity leave I was ofsted registered but have put this on hold whilst I'm only working ad hoc, absolutely ready to become registered again/refresh my first aid for a full time position. I have been taking my daughter with me to work since she was 4 months old and then the same with my son (slightly differently due to COVID). They both joined me at my previous Monday Wednesday nanny job. I have lots of experience with shares that included 3+ children, previously with two toddlers and a baby. Most recently I have been working in a nursery setting as a PSA with children requiring additional support on a part time basis.
My Qualifications
SVQ 3 children's care, learning and development. Level 2 Understanding children and young people's mental health.
First aid. Challenging behaviour, sleep training
Currently undertaking nature childcare course.
My Availability
I am currently open to a position any weekday, and incorporating any times/hours, I do currently attend some lovely free classes with my own two on Mondays, which should a position arise on these days I'd love to keep attending as they are excellent for all ages (tree tots outdoor group, Gaelic bookbugs and a garden club)
